Confident in Todd Stansbury

Here's why I like Elliott: he would be coming from a factory. There are other personalities, coaching styles, and coaching histories I see out there that I would be ok with, but none are from inside a factory program. He knows the ins and outs of what makes a team like Clemson be what they are. Not that he can get us there by himself, but he'll know which direction to steer our program. I want our AD to pick the guy that gets us going in that direction, preferably with experience like this.

Edit: posted this in the wrong thread. But what difference, at this point, does it make?

Don’t believe everything you read unless you heard it come from TS’s mouth.

I’ve heard that KQ is spouting a bunch of crap right now to try to save face after he was totally exposed by not knowing about CPJ’s retirement until after the fact.
 
I don't think it's unfair to not have much trust in TStan yet, and I say that as someone that's generally been very pleased with his work so far. This decision is pretty much the thing that builds big-time trust.

It's a career-defining moment for him, that's for sure.

If there's anything that could theoretically be more important to a P5 AD this weekend than hiring his next HC, it's selecting the CFP teams. It's great that he's on the committee – he's mingling with a lot of wise football people who don't live in our Tech bubble. Great opportunity to bounce names off people and hear other suggestions.

When and where exactly would this interview with Whisenhunt likely take place? TStan is going to be in Texas through Sunday morning with CFP committee, and Ken has a game in Shittsburgh on Sunday night. I'm starting to seriously doubt he's interviewing "this weekend."
