nice insight

Let me just throw this out there..

Team A has 4 MNC's in 100 years and Team B has 1.. which one is an outlier?...

Posting again since you didn't seem to see it previously. Also, be sure to review your understanding of the term outlier.

Here are Colorado's rankings:

1989 - 4th
1990 - 2nd
1991 - 20th
1992 - 13th
1993 - 16th
1994 - 3rd
1995 - 4th
1996 - 8th
2001 - 9th
2002 - 20th

So I would say that their season was not really an outlier.

We also have more appearances than Colorado in the AP top 25 poll and over 100 other teams for that matter.. (#25 in total # of appearances in the AP poll)... So while we may have not been highly ranked around the time we won a MNC we historically have been highly ranked over a longer period of time that many other teams (including CU) that have won MNCs... (Cal, Pitt, etc)... We'll have to agree to disagree on the fact that Georgia Tech does have a rich football history.

Outlier and rich football history do not have anything to do with each other.

4 national titles spanning 100 years = rich football history

1 national title surrounded by years of not touching the Top 10 = outlier

I can't dumb it down for you any more than that.

And we beat Clemson who beat Illinois who beat Colorado.

It's cool I understand statistics are hard at your age
