CPJ Couldn't win first homecoming, but Gailey could

According to ESPN the other day, CPJ is one of four current college coaches who didn't play college ball.

What does that have to do with what I said? I'm asking if cajun has any football experience, not college experience.

I'm saying that you can know what you're talking about when it comes to football without having played.

I'll be happy if we win 8 games, I said that from the beginning of the season.

That being said, the way the opposing D is busting threw the line makes it look like we're running a screen pass every play.

Maybe we should put that in the playbook. Should be easy to execute. :)

CPJ is one win away from reaching CGE....

the Chan Gailey Equilibirum.

and we've got 5 games left to play.....6 games left (possible but it is a longshot).

For my first ever post, I'm going to say cajun is a rajun idiot. The offense stopped themselves with costly turnovers and the D couldn't stop virgina's O. Last time I checked PJ doesn't call plays for the D and didn't fumble the ball twice. Grow up please!

UVA and GT both averaged the same gain per rush attempt, and both averaged the same gain per pass attempt. UVA called a bunch of passes, we called a bunch of runs, they won.
???? You're not serious, right? You're solution is to pass more? How about play some defense for one thing. We lost because we fumbled the ball twice when we had drives going.

Me too, you can look it up, via the Stingtalk search function. And I'll be happy if we get 8 games, because I make it a point to establish my expectations preseason, so I don't fall into the trap of getting disappointed because my hopes got up.

I'm pretty worried, though, that if we didn't beat UVA we might not be able to get there. Looking ahead, Miami is the only remaining "win" I can see on our schedule. We needed this win not to make the ACCCG, we needed it to make 8 wins.

Either pass more, or learn how to pass better so we can pass more. Yes, my solution when you're averaging 8 yards per attempt passing and less than 4 per attempt rushing is to call more pass plays. Doesn't seem like rocket science. They devoted 8 to 9 players to stopping our rush from the 2nd quarter on. We should be able to pass against that.

Credit where it's due, we called more pass plays in the 4th, but by that time they were keyed on it.

I think PJ will do great things here! Even after this game I still think he is a far better coach than Chan.

Anyone who is far up CPJ's ass, pull it out at this moment. It was absolutely horrible what occurred in this game. We lost our home win streak, we lost our homecoming win streak, we lost to UVA gina, he stuck with Nesbitt on the last drive even though we know Jaybo is a better passer, he stopped calling the pitch after the pitch was what allowed us to score our first TD, etc., etc.

CPJ has lost a lot of fan's respect. I was at that game and heard a lot of people bitching. It reminded me a lot of the Chan Gailey days. CPJ has to wake his ass up and realize he is coaching in the ACC now, not Navy, not GSU.

I am not sold at all on this team until he gets a quality win. Next week against Florida State is his chance.

proof that even at Georgia Tech, home of supposedly intelligent people, that expectations are way out of whack, that people have no clue WTF and that most people are selfish dumasses who make time for football between picnics with the neighbors and getting their f'n SUV detailed

go home, we dont need you.

now, i will agree that the team got out-coached, out-played, out-hustled, out-physicaled and got beat in every way. but one loss and suddenly people are bitching???

let em bitch from home, get off the f'n boat and swim!
