Lol, "It was a bad call." "It was somebody else's idea." "The player didn't even do it right, or it would have worked." "But it's on me."
Way to take ownership and accountability, coach. That's sure to teach these kids leadership...Lol, "It was a bad call." "It was somebody else's idea." "The player didn't even do it right, or it would have worked." "But it's on me."
Maybe we shouldn't call plays that require perfect execution if our talent level worries you about having such a small margin for error, coach.“We played the second half like we could have played the first. There was no difference. There was no adjustment. They lined up the same way, we played the same way. We just played a little better. The quarterback played a little better. Right now, for us, it has to be almost perfect. It just has to be almost perfect. And when we’ve got first-and-10 and we take the ball on the option and we flash fake and we don’t pitch and we get tackled and it’s second-and-10, then it becomes a problem. As long as we’re doing it perfectly, we can kind of get down the field. We didn’t have any home-run plays today, although we had a chance. We had a chance to hit Brad (Stewart) in the post off play action and we had some chances. You’ve got to hit one or two of those plays.”

Lack of talent or lack of preparation?Damn if you do, damn if you don't...iiwii. he is right on a few of those wtf moments tho, at some point you do have to make a play or 2, and we failed a few times today in potentially critical moments l
This is an indictment on the coaching staff. That we have to play PERFECT to beat pitt ??“We played the second half like we could have played the first. There was no difference. Lack of talent or lack of preparation?
My money is on lack of prep. We don't seem to practice fundamentals or technique, so its not surprising our players can't make plays that should be gimmes.Lack of talent or lack of preparation?
It's ööööing Pitt, man. One play shouldn't matter. The pass to Stewart was there for the taking....
Exactly. The pass to Stewart was there for the taking....
