CPJ Show Live Thread

CPJ believes that we practice special teams as much if not more than any team in the country.

He indicated that kick coverage requires two levels, and our guys were collapsing and not staying in their lanes. He also indicated that USF had a solid blocking scheme for their returns.

Said he hopes that Kenny Cooper will be ready to go this week, but he won’t be at center since he probably won’t be able to go a full game.

i need to figure out where you work and nitpick your every mistakes on the boards here....

Only reason I remember that one is because me and my dad were both saying isn’t that our two best OL missing assignments? Especially one so egregious. I remember it because even PJ had to speak with Parker to figure out the miscommunication.

I didn’t mean to slight Parker. It’s really an affront to our two OL coaches really.

Well, if we do practice S/T that much, that becomes a bigger indictment of the staff involved in that part of the game.

Bill Lewis, on his call in show, said the Exact same words about the Exact same part of our team at a certain point.

The most important thing he could say

That said, we need to give Oliver some snaps.
While I think that Marshall is the starter and played very well against USF, I don't think this is a bad idea. Oliver was very effective as a runner and even ran the option pretty smoothly. I don't think it hurts anything to give him a couple series.

I'm curious to see if Oliver has that "it" factor. Read somewhere that he plays with a chip on his shoulder and is a fighter. That may be what this team needs.
