Crazy Offensive Stats

Normally, I would be annoyed by Duke getting a bye week to prepare for us, but now I think it might actually give us an advantage. We will play at home with the best weather of the season, and the offense on a roll. The dukies might be rested and prepared, but Tech comes into the game on a psychological high. Duke is trying to shake off the embarrassing performance against VT, and no game this weekend to forget it.

This falls in the category of "There's a silver lining to every cloud."

Sometimes GT can come back from the bye week stale. When the option starts clicking, you don't want a week off.

I think the extra time helps Duke, but they lost and then no one to take it out on may result in a low motivator the next week.

GT has this week off from school. GT has an extra day of rest due to a Friday night game. GT looks to be executing on O...I'll take every advantage the team can get.

But this game should be all about GT's defense. The game depends on 5 stops (including turnovers) and holding Duke to 27 points!

Having the week off from classes is big. Guys don't have to worry about labs; they can spend more time breaking down film of Dook

TQM is what he is. A dynamic runner with extremely marginal passing skills who is learning how to make the right reads in this offense. When he make the right reads, we dont even need to pass. If we need him to pass, though, he's terrible. Dont pretend he is anything other than bad at passing. We just need him to make the layups and hit a wide open guy but if it's a two minute drill, we're doomed.

When he's calm, he's a good passer. When he's not calm, his footwork is garbage and he skies it.

I was talking with some Clemson friends during the Wake Forest game this past weekend, and they were all raving about Clemson's rushing performance. It was the highest rushing total for Clemson in over 37 years, and the 2nd highest in the history of the school. It was hard for me not to point out that Georgia Tech rushed for more yards just the day before, and does it at least once pretty much every year. Not to mention, Clemson punted 7 times during that game. We've punted a total of 1 time in the last 2 games.

Our offense has been REALLY, REALLY good the last 2 games, regardless of who the opponent was.

Tough to argue anything with CU fans when they just kicked our butts.
