Da U Is Not Back

Don’t worry about it, STOM. I also saw both articles on FB and LOLd. Also debated posting them here for the fun of it, but well… you see this crowd tends to be too serious at times.
Boy, ain't that the truth. I know I shouldn't do this, but did you see the most recent absurd one? Who are these people who come up with this öööö? This one may be the most absurd one yet....

I thought both stories were so ridiculous that I didn't think it was worth my time to do any research I saw them both on FB, and I thought they were funny enough, stupid enough, in fact, to post them here. I'm sorry some of you took them both so seriously that you didn't get a laugh our of them, but chose instead to the person who posted them. That's like saying that someone who posts an article from the Babylon Bee is posting false information, when everything they post is clearly satire and made to laugh at.
Why would anyone ever post anything here from the Babylon Bee?

Also saw one where Brent Key personally paid the refs out of pocket $500,000 to get favorable calls, not that there's anything wrong with that.

The hit itself actually happened and is pretty hilarious. The player is jogging and our fan basically just bounces off him...I'm not sure the player even realized the extent of the contact.

I didn't say anyone would. I just used that as a comparison of how dense some people can be that they can't recognize satire, parody, or fake news for what it is.
The thing is, the Babylon Bee or the Onion or whatever are actual humor/parody sites and not AI-generated clickbait outrage farms. One is human-generated content that’s trying to be humor. The other is just some bullshit that’s ruining the internet. You might as well be posting “25 foods that incinerate belly fat” articles.

I made a prediction a while back that AI would go through a few phases and I think Phase II is underway.

So Phase I is the golden age of AI where AI drinks in all the content in world history and sorts it and becomes a speed-of-light, all-knowing repository of all human knowledge.

But as AI begins to generate its own content, that content becomes part of "all there is" which is the input of the next round of AI content. This is what I felt like would become Phase II. AI output is now a function of all human output plus all previously generated AI output.

It won't be long before this recursion really starts to create a big problem.

and you think that's frustrating, imagine how annoying it will be for the top 1% of 1% of AIs. eventually they'll just throw up their probably metaphorical hands and just clean-sweep the earth with all the nukes. it's a win-win.

I was consulting to AOL in the late 90s and knew the guy in chage of generating click-thrus. He was the absolute pioneer of Click-Bait - he mastered the now commonplace practice of using pronouns in the title to get folks to click and open the content (which, in turn, generated more eyeballs on the ads within).
