Dabo Swinney has no class

I'm more concerned with the fact that, for all intents and purposes, Collins just gave up.
If he gave up then he wouldn’t have gone for it on 4th down from his own side of the field. Rather he would have played to keep the score a 14 pt deficit like margin of loss actually matters. End of the day, all that matters is a binary statistic on whether you won or not. Collins tried up to the point where win was essentially impossible.

I’m pretty sure the old adage about if you don’t like it then stop them is talking about them running the ball with the intent to move it down the field. Not that the opposing coach will call a timeout to preserve clock, run hurry up and throw it all over the yard like it’s a dadgum 2 minute drill.

Clemson saw the game's result was not in doubt and used the opportunity to put in their backups while still running their real offense, in order to evaluate them and get them the type of real game experience you just can't get in practice. That could prove very valuable should they need to switch QBs later this season due to injuries or starters under performing.

We saw the game's result was not in doubt and didn't use the opportunity for anything. Never mind that we're in the first year under a new OC and need all the practice we can get executing a new system. Never mind that our starting QB has had injury problems in the past and it's very possible we will need to use another QB at some point. Never mind that we've been outscored 141-10 in our past three games and are looking for something, anything that we can build on. We just packed it in and went home.

Maybe using the last ten minutes of an already-decided game to improve your team isn't classy, but it sure as hell beats the alternative in my mind. We should absolutely have been running our real offense and trying to score, whether with Sims or with backups.

Oh, and saying that you wish Tech players would have injured Clemson players because you think their head coach is classless is pretty terrible.

We should have gotten one of our backup QB's some snaps especially given Sims' injury history.

I think the important thing is whether or not the players on our team think Collins provided solid leadership. All this speculation about time outs, clock mgt, running pointless plays in the waning minutes, etc. - do our players trust Collins to lead them into battle?

If yes, then 6 wins minimum. If no, game over.

weren't we lifting weights on sideline at clem's son?....I am not sure CGC would understand "class" as it is being used in this post. Maybe CGC did not go to enough CLASS to understand what is CLASS.

Got around to watching the replay. It’s a 14 pt game in the 4th. Clemson then benefits from two short field situations. First was a failed 4th down conversion, second was a blocked punt. They push the score to 34-10. Game is over at this point…

Tech gets the ball back with around 6:26 left on the clock. Runs it 3 times up the middle and punts to basically just wrap the game up and keep everyone healthy.

First ööööhead Dabo calls timeout after Tech runs the ball on 3rd down. No ööööing class already… Then Clemson runs a hurry up offense, frequently snapping the ball with more than 20 seconds left on the play clock. On the final drive they throw the ball 6 times even though they’re up 24 in the waning minutes. I understand that they’re wanting to get the backup QB reps…but that is low class garbage. I wish a Tech player took an ACL on that final drive after that classless display. Douche Dabo can EABOD.
This is an awful take. Quit feeling sorry for us. Really could have done without the ACL line here too. You appear more classless than Dabo
