Didn't watch it, but frankly Cutcliffe's 0-6 record vs. GT speaks louder than anything he could have possibly said.

First thing about cutting/chopping isn't all bad. In fact, it makes me more confident that he refuses to cut in practice even in prep for our game, because it means his guys aren't going to be used to beating the cut block.
He also talked about how no wide receivers would come to GT to play in the offense.
Said no good defensive player would ever go there because they would have to endure spring practice
Whined about the cut and chop blocking. Said he only let his team do that for a short scrimmage so he didn't get anybody hurt.
A bitter bitter man.

Second thing is just the same old crap about how NFL players don't want to come to Tech.
Third thing, he flat lies about Calvin/Bebe would never come to GT. Calvin came to GT over UGA for academic reasons.
Not sure this is any more 'locker room material' than any of the things the media says. It's just the same old crap.
He was complimentary of our coaching. / shrug.
Apparently he ranked GT very high on his coaches poll.
This is a classic, clear cut case of a bitter man -bitter because he hasn't been laid ...and his wife's running around with a butch dyke TarHeel fan.

Just telling it like he sees it. He was pretty complimentary for the most part if you watch the whole video. Still like Cutcliffe.
I don't know much about Cutcliffe, but I know he's always portrayed as a classy guy. Effectively trying to negatively recruit against your upcoming opponent in a press conference, going as far as to dismiss their receiving corps, is pretty bush league, though.
Pretty good press conference actually, good listen. I didn't have that much of a problem about his comments, man really hates cut blocks and I think that's why he said most of what he said. And Smelter is not Calvin or Bay-Bay. Yet. Hopefully he will be though!
Any way you slice it its dick as hell (and unprofessional) to single out a player on the other team and say that he's not as good as someone who used to play for that team.
That's like if CPJ said "Duke Johnson is no Clinton Portis" or "that QB from VT sure isn't as good as the one they had last year."
There's no need for it.

He said flat out that Smelter is no Demaryius Thomas.

Again, guys. This is Cutcliffe. The same guy CPJ has beaten 6 times in a row by an average of 20.8 ppg. I'd be butthurt too if I were him. I'd find reasons to belittle Tech and avoid questions about game strategy too if I were him. He's got nothing. He's about to get pounded again, and he knows it. He's had two weeks to watch film and is fully aware that CPJ is going to piledrive his defense for the 7th straight year. Wouldn't you be pissed off too?
CPJ should say "Yeah that Cutcliffe is no Spurrier"![]()
CPJ would not respond in that way. Here's what I imagine:
Reporter: Coach Johnson, what are your thoughts on Coach Cutcliffe's comments about your team, and specifically, about Deandre Smelter?
CPJ: I don't pay any attention to who says what before a game. Coach Cutcliffe has done a great job at Duke but has not beaten us yet. I mean, it is what it is. We just have to get ready and play the game the best we can. Deandre is a playmaker and he's getting better every week like the rest of the team. We'll see how it goes Saturday.
This is true, but at the end of the game, if Smelter has a big day, I could see him saying "He looked a little like BayBay out there today" with a wry smile.
He said flat out that Smelter is no Demaryius Thomas.
I like CPJ so much more when we win much more than CPJ when we lose.
