Death Blow

You don’t think they’ll want to go where they’re guaranteed up to $200k every year?
Most programs will be underwater so fast after dispensing 50% of revenue to players that there will be far fewer schools going after the same SAs. Fewer athletes will be on scholarship. This will be a net negative for the academic development of SA’s. But you know, California logic.

This is absolute madness. It won’t be as lucrative as they think when they drive away a generation of season ticket holders and wealthy boosters. Better hope the TV money remains strong.

Splitting their NIL deals with women who don’t do as much as them is not going to be as good as keeping their NIL deals.
Ok. I can kinda see this being a title 9 violation for a big university and the courts having to do something.

@savbandjacket

When this is declared that public universities have to start forking over money will there be a title 9 challenge that’s feasible?

I mean yes, but that Wyoming DE for instance, would probably not choose USC over us if he has to split his deals with a girl.
I think you misunderstood. The university has to split revenue with the athletes. The athletes don’t have to split their NIL deals. Different revenue stream

They aren’t splitting their NIL deals. This is additional money from the Universities to the players if they graduate.
Ahhhh I think I misread, I thought it was the NIL deals.
