Defense Line love goes here

Suspect OL under new coach getting racked with injuries sounds familiar...

Main thing I liked seeing was for the first time in forever it didn't look like we were totally outmanned athletically. FSU might be a dumpster fire but I refuse to believe they don't have any athletes left. I hope I'm not wrong. I think we have made a step change athletically. Still got work to do but promising.
Yes. Someone name a unit of theirs that played better than ours. Kicking unit and thats it. The haters are hating on our DL but even with injuries we won that battle.

I thought their Ol was too banged up in the 4th to let them back in, but our Dl started the game fatally banged up and we pushed through.

Last year our Ol was worse than theirs, and it dominated last night, owned a HIGHLY regarded unit. so units change and their Ol will be fine. Give all our ATL Dl players credit, cut they won the game for us against ALL expectation.

After sleeping on it, I agree.

This was supposed to be an NFL-calibre DL we faced last night. They did get in a few licks, but for the most part Jeff Sims had all the time he needed. We should keep that in mind when comparing him to JG4 of 2019.

Jordan Williams is going to play on Sundays.

It’s unclear how good our DL is because their OL was a dumpster fire last year and I’m not sure they improved. Even so, our banged up DL dominated particularly in the 2nd half. Our OL, which was also trash last year, played every snap with the same guys and held their own Against linemen supposedly headed to the NFL. Very excited for both lines, but it was only one game.

I can’t speak intelligently about line play as a group, but one-on-one, I was pleasantly surprised with our DL versus their OL. It seemed like we were pushing them back and throwing them around sometimes.
