Did we lose our starting QB early in the game? I forget

Gibbs has not lived up to the hype.. honestly Smith seems as good or better

He needs to get more physical, but his ability to shake defenders and create space where there is none is pretty amazing, so I've got to disagree that he hasn't lived up to the hype. Someone posted a video breakdown of some of his runs vs. Clemson last year, and when you watch it you realize he can do things that only a handful of guys in college football are capable of doing.

An innovative OC would have him in the All-American discussion.

Mason is a beast, but Gibbs is next level talent. We are fortunate to have both of them.
He's got some shake but not elite speed or strength.. I'd be very surprised to see him on Sundays.. he just averaged 5 ypc against niu ..

I think you're getting too caught up in YPC from one game. Some of the best backs in the NFL had pedestrian games from their college years. Look up Alvin Kamara's game logs from his Tennessee days... a lot of games of 3 ypc and under.

Don’t understand the Gibbs slander. He’s a 4 star recruit guys, he’s not a Calvin type recruit. It just goes to show how terrible our recruiting was that we expect that much out of him. UGA/Clemson/Bama brings in a Gibbs level RB every year.

I don't wanna bet against our guys.. plus I like his receiver talent.. just wish he had that 2nd gear like hollings or sophomore Dwyer

You don't think the other pieces have anything to do with that? Look at the big picture dude. He is literally our best player, and from what I've seen is proud to be a jacket.
