Well living in Columbia I'm about 1/1000 of a gamecock fan and 999/1000 a ramblin wreck but I'll tell you what if he starts hanging out with the brain surgeons on the gamecocks he is in for at least a few arrests, keying of cars, and bar fights. There are such fine mentors as Stephen Garcia and Blake Mitchell to take them under their wing....that damn evil genius too.
 
If he doesn't want to be at Tech, he can go. I'd rather he stay, obviously, but if he feels he needs to go somewhere else, it is his decision. I made the same decision myself, except I went to GT.
 
I will wish him well whenever he plays Tennessee, Bama, or Georgia. Other than that, this really pretty much blows.
 
Maybe he's not hip to CPJ's discipline? Anyhow, the way I look at it is its all part of the weedout process.

Its like when you're pulling weeds in your flower garden and you find something that looks nice but its really a weed.

This is what makes the character of a Lee Butler that much more outstanding. Those are the kids we need at GT.
 
Just another bump in the road to 10+ win seasons. It has never been easy at GT. We have to have the right coaches and the right players and keep doing the right things to make it pay off. I think we will get there - in the next 1 to 4 years.

This time when we turn the corner (like 1969, 1989, 1997), we should be able to build a better program.
 
I am sorry he did not want to play safety for us - we needed him there. If he transferred to get more catches in a passing offense I think he will be disappointed - I did not think he showed very good hands as a freshman. I believe he would more likely play on Sundays moving to defense.

But, if he had to transfer, I am glad its to someone we don;t play and who has a chance to beat UGA and Clemson.
 
GT will win a conference championship before SC does.

GT will go to the BCS before SC does.

SC is worthless program that won't ever do anything. I don't care if they get another coach that has won a national championship. Lombardi couldn't win at SC.
 
Word has it that this was about not wanting to be at Tech, not anything to do with the football team, the new coaches versus the old coaches, or anything athletic.

This has BUDDY GEIS written all over it. Apparently he was bad mouthing our new staff (jilted lover syndrome) and calling recruits (Chris Jackson) and telling them not to come here...apparently he was telling guys on our active roster to hit the highway as well.

Buddy Geis is the biggest POS to coach at GT since B*** L****. I hope he dies in a freak fondu accident.

A GT friend of mine called and told me all about it. I feel we all have a right to know when a former coach craps all over us/backstabs our program like this.

We should all be well aware that Buddy G has burnt all his bridges with Georgia Tech.

Piss on him!
