DMO

Since you are our Tennessee expert what is the story about their South Carolina game? I heard from one of those talking head stations that a player on the defense got into a fight with a player on the offense. The defense player wasn’t allowed to make the trip. The rest of the Tennessee defense was not happy and they laid down for the South Carolina offense during the game.
That is essentially what I have heard as well. Jeremy Banks, 5th year linebacker supposedly got in an argument with QB Hendon Hooker and was suspended for the game. I've heard different reasons for the fight. Some say it was Banks breaking a "bro code" but others say it was an argument about NIL money. Honestly Tennessee's secondary was rough all year, probably weren't going to win it this year but sucks to be so close to making the playoff and then lay an egg. But they aren't the 1st and won't be the last.

It would be interesting if the fight was over NIL money. If that was true it might be the first instance of NIL money affecting the point spread or maybe even the outcome of a game.

Given that the NIL deals are public, human nature will lead to jealousy and envy especially for immature college students who have been spoiled since they were 12 year olds.

Absolutely. In fact when the amount of money being paid different athletes that is supposedly a team sport becomes public, I can see this as becoming a giant problem for college football. Professionals are more mature and realize there are different pay scales for different athletes.

Given DMO’s incredible character, I don’t see him leaving voluntarily for another opportunity. He’s the father figure and a good father wouldn’t do that.
That may be so, but I also heard or read in an interview with him that he would still do anything for Georgia Tech. So it would certainly seem to be worth a shot to try to get him back.

He can come home when Beamer Jr goes back to Blacksburg.
I had no idea but his first Job was at Georgia Yech as a grad assistant. You really believe he would leave South Carolina for Virginia Tech?

IDK. He could get fired in a few years for all we know. things change.
