Does anyone know Leo Blackburn’s Status?

wow, it's sad that they withhold this info for so long. maybe even disingenuous.
a similar thing happened when we learned months after the fact that our frosh kicker Birr was missing the season..
other teams don't do this, tigers released info quickly when DE Thomas was injured.

Why is it disingenuous and to whom? I remember seeing Birr's injury reported not long after it happened, just not here. The coaches don't owe it to fans to let us know who is injured and when. We aren't the only team that doesn't immediately report injuries to the public.

Did you know that Justin Thomas was recruited by Alabama and Nick Saban???
This comes with a major asterisk since JT was offered as a DB by everyone except us. He definitely lived up to the hype as an athlete for sure but was not hyped as a QB and his arm was quite suspect even as he starred in the triple option for us.

Get out of here with "it's sad". No, it's not sad at all. Most entities in the US aren't even allowed to report publicly someone's injury, sickness, etc. Honestly it shouldn't even be our business, and it's especially none of Clemson's business.

With medical issues, it is entirely up to the player how much information is given out. Anything beyond that is a violation of patient confidentiality policies. Maybe some coaches influence their players to be more open about details, but it's ultimately not the coach's choice to talk about anything health related.

Leo didn't participate in camp. It happened just before camp started. He was still recovering from the ACL tear last year also and may not have been a full-go in camp anyway, so with the other injury, they decided to just give that camp spot to someone else.
We are cursed. We get key injuries before we even begin practice.

I’m not even going to say what I’m greatful for about camp so far because I know I’ll jinx it. I’m waiting to see if we actually don’t get any injuries

While he has plenty of potential and upside, Leo hasn't played a snap yet at GT and IIRC hasn't had a practice in full pads yet. He may have played but I doubt he would have been starting against Clemson. Can't miss something you've never had. We need other guys to step up.

Damn your logic, we need him to be Calvin

True but its demoralizing. Even to me. Blackburn was on a short list of names figured to be difference makers - deservedly so or not.

In a season where we are all hanging on by a thread, this sounds like so many other “fan favorites” that never got out of the starting block.

It does feel like a terrible 5 year run of some version of either our best player, important player, key transfer, or top recruit having something (some obviously more serious than others) go wrong, or worse. Even going back to PJ’s last season, our best offensive and defensive players on that team should have been Dedrick Mills and AJ Gray. Who knows what we missed out on without them. We are just no longer a program that can survive a season when “next man up” is needed, for us the cream of the crop have to play to be competitive.

Smelter in football saved PJ for 4 more yrs. If he could have gotten that Willis QB kid (out of hi school ) that is a pro now with the Titans,PJ would dtill be here.
Eh, I think PJ probably still would have retired by now.

I didn’t even know EJ Jenkins was on the team.

This transfer BS makes it tougher to follow/keep up with
