Does ND have a "puncher's chance" this weekend?

Well, who is surprised?

Notre Dame had yet another chance to take down a top ten team but instead they tripped over their dick and choked which has become standard operating procedure for Brian Kelly’s band of worthless Leprechauns. Stick to making children’s cereal.

Yes, but... it was much closer than most on this board thought likely.

If ND had any running game they would have won this game, i do not believe UGAG can beat AL, Clem, LSU, OK or Ohio ST.

Or is it in some ways...relieving?
Certainly it's a relief to see UGA struggle.

But I don't understand the psychology of the Tech fan who is cool with overestimating the strength of our chief rival.

I have in my mind placed Alabama Georgia and Clemson in the elite category and that might be the fault of the college playoff.

It’s a year to year thing. Georgia does not belong this year. Last years team was better for them.

Update: They had a chance.
Yep. And the entire lead up to the game was how bad and overrated ND was. Uga fans at the game had nothing good to say about ND before the game.

I take them at their word and refuse to believe that ND is all of a sudden a top 10 team just because they played uga close.

ND will lose to Virginia next week
How long before the golden domers rethink their deal to play five games a year against ACC teams? The conference is so weak that those games do nothing for ND, attendance is soft, and it keeps Notre Dame from playing (and losing to) a stronger group of opponents. This year they get Louisville, Duke, VPI, Boston College, and Virginia.

They do it for the benefit to all other sports, not for football. Playing those ACC games is the concession ND had to make in order to allow all of their other sports to compete in ACC league play.

Nothing prompts you to stop scheduling little weakling teams... like losing to them. I don't know the ND/UVA line, but I bet it'll be a close game.

If I was ND, I’d want full membership. Put them in the Coastal. They would be in the CG every year. Like Miami.
