My takeaway from that game, and I was there, was Clemson's D line was elite. It didn't need to be against our OL, tho.
We have some bright spots.
But Clemson has some issues of its own too. Their OL, a weak spot last year, still isn't very good right now. Their receivers won't be confused with Sammy Watkins and DeAndre Hopkins. And Klubnik will be running with the 1s over DJ 5 in a few weeks.

Unfortunately it was the first start for several of our OL. They didn’t get a patsy to break their cherry with. Instead they played in a loud MCB against the best DL we’ll play (certainly was louder than any recent games at Bobby Dodd). I was probably most disappointed with Jordan Williams to be honest… he actually does have a lot of game reps and Clemson’s #5 owned him all night.
 
Greg Garrett had an acct on the Hive and I’m pretty sure he has one here as well. We had some interesting DM convos way back when.

I didn’t realize then that he was as big of a donor as he is. I guess my point is that he actually asks around and takes other poeple’s opinions into consideration.

At one point our current head coach was holding the football, pointed to the spot for the ref and then helped a Clemson player up from the ground and then the GT player. I have never seen a head coach continually spend those precious seconds between plays to do everything but think about the next play. It’s just laughable and GT football is a punch line with this guy. We went from a head coach who would set up a 3rd down play with his 1st down play calling to a head coach who wants to be a ref and ball boy. Seriously, the guy burned a timeout because a team shifted on a punt play.

I dunno about sideline histrionics. I am embarrassed sometimes by the way he speaks, the undisciplined way his team plays, and his game day decisions.

Oh, and the skinny pants.

Bullshit. They are not the best DL we will play. Also, the portal is the future. Coaches should have given more importance towards recruiting linemen early. We are where we are because their idea was patchwork until the recruits started pouring in. Well the recruits aren’t pouring in.

He should realize the old line “the truth is always somewhere in the middle”.
Then realize the middle is tired of GT crapping on athletics.
Stop donating period…forever. When GT calls say “stfu”. When they call again tell them “go öööö yourselves, I’m tired of giving money to a school that doesn’t realize when it looks like öööö on ESPN it represents the ENTIRE institution”. It’s a waste until they realize when GT and CGC get clowned on national tv by a guy named Dabo. They all look stupid.

Maybe. PFF had them ranked as the #2 DL in the country preseason, with UGA at #3. It's basically splitting hairs, but there's no disputing that their DL is elite and the best we will face through the first 11 games at minimum.

By this logic we should blowout WCU this weekend. I don't personally think 24 points would constitute said blowout, which is where the odds currently stand. However, if that doesn't happen It seems your argument doesn't hold and we are in serious trouble.

Tonight will be very telling.
