Donors see positives in 30 point loss, but it’s time to ‘put up or shut up’

He should realize the old line “the truth is always somewhere in the middle”.
Then realize the middle is tired of GT crapping on athletics.
Stop donating period…forever. When GT calls say “stfu”. When they call again tell them “go öööö yourselves, I’m tired of giving money to a school that doesn’t realize when it looks like öööö on ESPN it represents the ENTIRE institution”. It’s a waste until they realize when GT and CGC get clowned on national tv by a guy named Dabo. They all look stupid.
Truth is that Paul Johnson, Jeff Monken ran team would have been able to beat Clemson the last two years.... We are what we are because of ADTStan, Garrett and Zman and the rest of the donors all in on Geoff Collins.

Sad....just sad.

Oh just give it a rest ffs.

they’re talking like “COVID positives” right? As in they saw a couple people at the game that tested positive for COVID?

By this logic we should blowout WCU this weekend. I don't personally think 24 points would constitute said blowout, which is where the odds currently stand. However, if that doesn't happen It seems your argument doesn't hold and we are in serious trouble.

Tonight will be very telling.

No, by my logic, Clemson has a very good defensive line. That argument "holds" regardless of how the rest of tonight's game goes.

I don't understand why you posted this after you saw Furman put up 386 yds of offense on Clemson. I would accept whiskey as an answer.

They are simply not as good as you believe and we are in fact in trouble now.

I don't understand why you're having such a hard time understanding that they have a very talented defensive line. That unit projects to have at least two first round picks in next year's draft, possibly 2 in the top 10. It's not a commentary on Collins as a coach or the Tech team, but simple acknowledgement that their DL is very good, regardless of whether you believe that or not.

We'll know in about 3 months.

So you’re just going to look at a box score and try to determine a team’s worth? Clearly Furman won that game because they gained more yards and had the ball longer. Forget they only scored 12 points in all of that.

I mean we know right now that Clemson has a very good DL. Are they a top 5 team *overall*? Not sure, as their offense still looks light years behind where it was under Watson and Lawrence.

I don't know what camp you're in but regardless, I watched the games last week, I watched the games this week. A top 5 FBS defense doesn't perform that way. I use the box score to confirm my observations.

Furman put up 150 more yards on Clem's son than we did. So either Furman is an excellent team or Clemson is not as good as you think defensively.

In either case, Furman had more offensive production than Tech in terms of yardage and neither defense could stop the tigers which supports my fears that we are in fact in for a world of hurt.

I hope I am wrong but it doesn't seem so this far.

Fair enough. I hope you’re wrong too.l, but I can’t really argue against your point because I’m still not sure what to expect from our defense or our offense. What I will add is Furman’s high yardage total may be a product of Clemson scoring too quickly. They put up a lot of points with much less TOP than Furman. I expect Ole Miss to be the true barometer of where we are as a team.

I guess Neville Zelnak and Neville Garret are really seeing positives this week versus the 4-7 FCS team.
I sure hope that doesn't bode badly for bringing on a new AD because he will need a head start.
