Don't forget to tune in to the ACC Network on Monday night at 7:30 pm...

I am. Spent 40 years pastoring one church - retired from there in January. I am just finishing an interim at a church in Greenville, NC. I am a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship pastor. Left Tech after graduation for seminary at Wake Forest. I have been in NC ever since.

I do need to drop by a tailgate. I make it to two or three home games still each year.
Has CBF been around for 40 years or did you change sometime along the way?

Big10 and SEC still have divisions and are likely to continue leading in viewership/attendance and probably will get the most teams into a 12 team playoff. Although i'd sure miss our rivalry game, a better choice would have been to keep divisions and eliminate rivalry games and do scheduling of cross-division based on the prior years record so top teams play each other and the level of competition is increased.

People are talking about eliminating divisions because you’re limited on in-conference games, and as conferences expand it would take a long long time to play all the schools in your conference. SEC for example - add two teams to each division and suddenly you’ve got two less games to play against the other side. If you keep a permanent rival on the other side you’re down to one extra game to play the other side. Do you do home and homes? Then it’s going to take forever to cycle through them all.

6-6 and to a bowl game next year sounds about right!

My shaky picks are at Miami, UNC and ACC title vs Clemson. I also think we can beat Ole Miss.

The show apparently started at 7PM, not 7:30PM, and they have already announced that the Tech-Louisville game at the Benz will be on Friday night of Labor Day Weekend.
The CFA Kick Off is confusing. Our schedule says Friday, 9/1. The CFA Kick Off website still says 9/2. Are we the only such kickoff game in Atlanta this year? I know in years past they’ve had multiple over Labor Day weekend. I assumed if our game vs Lou were Friday they’d have games both Saturday and Monday, too.

That CFA schedule was released in 2021, so apparently it has changed but not been updated on their site.

I cannot imagine the level of drunken rage that I will pour into if Tech is undefeated and loses to Syracuse. I might burn something down.
It would be a very Tech story.
