Long live CPJCPJ is gone. Can we let it go?
Or it’s a statement to how well Choice coached him up.Doesn't mean I'm a CPJ fan. More of an indictment of CGC.
Correct. That would be Ala Bama, not Georgia Tech. Some guys like Dontae play much higher than their HS ranking and don't get picked up early on by the big boys. Hell Demariyus Thomas was a mid 3* HS recruit and will likely be an NFL HOF'er. Whatever correlation you're trying to make isn't there. If you are saying CPJs recruits are as good or better, don't forget that a CGC RB recruit will be starting for Bama next year.
We are on a message board. There is always a counter argument. Many! Not sure why we can’t just be happy about the guys wearing white and gold this fall without all this CPJ vs CGC idiocy.
CPJ was a much better game day coach. CGC is a much better recruiter/marketer. There is really no counter argument to either of those points.
If only they actually wore white and gold, instead of all those butt-ugly blue combinations. Not sure why we can’t just be happy about the guys wearing white and gold this fall without all this CPJ vs CGC idiocy.

Obvious but invalid counter argument. There is an obvious counter argument. Until we start winning more than 3 games a season all this "much better recruiter/marketer" is just a bunch of hype. The CGC fanboys have been blaming CPJ for everything since day one of the current regime; no reason to let it go now that it is obvious CPJ isn't the problem. If the roster really is that much better than 4 years ago, we should win 6-8 games easily.
Yeah, the Collins recruiting expertise angle (which I bought) has been a mirage so far. If the goal is to win games then Collins has failed at everything that leads to wins. Win with 3 stars or lose with 4 stars? Collins has so many issues that it’s just amazing. I long for the days where all we whined about was getting 3 stars. Now, we have the worse defense I’ve ever seen from GT. We haven’t had a legit threat at QB in Collins tenure. The Offensive line has done nothing and has no identity. There has only been 2 positives in 3 seasons and those were Gibbs and Browns freshmen season. And they both just told us what they think about the current state of our program. There is an obvious counter argument. How has it been a mirage? Every expert recruiting agency has put CGC’s recruiting well above CPJ’s and really all other Tech coaches. He has sucked at coaching the team to wins. That is NOT a direct indicator of recruiting. Tech fans are supposed to be smart, yet so many fail to understand that concept. Be smarter Tech fans. A GOOD coach makes the most out of what he has. CPJ, according to many, didn't recruit well, and yet he was able to make the most of what he had and win. Collins, according to many, is a great recruiter, and yet he has not done a thing with what he has. Sorry, but I will take CPJ or a coach like him any day of the week over Collins or anyone like him.How has it been a mirage?
