Double Official Game Day Thread: GT vs Clemson

I used to wonder what it was like for lower division teams to go into a game against a P5 opponent and know there is no hope. Lesson learned.

I’ll say this. I’ve played enough sports to know that every team has the “practice all stars” that always show out in practice then severely underperform in games. Ever since UT that has been the case with him. Sadly.

Junk time and practice are basically the same. No pressure. TQ balls out in junk time.

Yes, at least the '94 team had much more talent. We are a mid level FCS team.

It is painful to see how far the GT talent level has fallen over the last 5 years. The execution is horrible as well. CPJ has no one to blame but himself. This team will be lucky to win 4 games this season.

Marshall maybe the worst P5 qb I’ve ever seen. We should never call a pass play. Just take our chance on the run.

And he has optioned not to pitch to the aback and conceeded about 100 yards so far.

This.

We were gonna get donkey punched but a senior QB with a year of game experience shouldn’t be making the kinds of mistakes he makes...with our bread and butter shit.

We ain’t winning 4.

There's a reason Marshall is the first QB under CPJ to average 100 yards a game (not sure if the stat was for Tech or all-time), and it isn't due to his athletic ability. Dude can't read for shit. It amazes me how the announcers are still saying he's making "good reads"

I think a QB and a real receiver is really the only thing different on offense compared to the past years of success
