ESPN removes Navy QB from Heisman voting

Heisman Trophy is a sham anyway.

No longer "The Best Player in College Football", it has become the best skill player on a top ten team in a P5 conference.

Good football players from non-P5 schools or from P5 schools not ranked in the top 10 or so Need Not Apply.
I think you may have your history a bit wrong if you're saying "No longer" as though it was different in the past. From the data wiki has available (starting at 1938), the first seventeen Heisman winners were all from top ten teams, and all except one were running backs or quarterbacks.

(The Heisman actually started three years prior and was won by two backs and one end, but wiki doesn't have team data available to find out the rankings and I'm too lazy to look it up elsewhere.)
