Excitement is building

I have learned that cheap booze are, in fact, that.. CHEAP and nasty. It's worth the 10-15 extra bucks.
I was fortunate to have a great friend in the military teach me about value. Volume has value but so does valuable things. Often times a little bit of really good is much better than a whole lot of kinda ok.

Name me one elite organization that has completely ineffective leadership at the top over a sustained period of time.
Pretty sure I’m going to regret this but….

The Office Of The President Of The United States Of America.

Not a political post since neither party was singled out

That's too funny but I was wondering if anyone was going to make that reply. It has been 4 decades since we had competent leadership, you have go back 2 more decades then you hit 2 in a row and geez 7-8 more decades before that for the next one? Thank God for limited powers.

I could of been "that" friend. LOL

There is good reason to be optimistic about our offense. We've seen Sims' potential in flashes, so if he stays healthy and focused, he could easily turn into one of the top QBs in the conference. And if he doesn't, we have better depth there, as well. We have solid RBs, and the reworked OL has the potential to be much improved. The coaching has been upgraded, and the scheme will be better suited to our personnel. I expect the offense to be exciting.

The defense is the big concern. I don't see how we can make the jump from having one of the worst secondaries in college football, to being competitive in just one season. We added Tavares Tillman, who at Michigan State last year was the cornerbacks coach for one of the few teams with an even worse secondary than Tech's. If CGC gets things turned around and remains the head coach, I don't think it will be his coaching, but rather his ability to keep the staff and recruiting together in an executive role. So unfortunately, I don't see where improvement will come from on the defensive side. Hope I'm wrong and we end up playing all season like we did against UNC last year.

This team will be more fun to watch, and can make a bowl game if we avoid a plague of injuries, bad luck, and ACC officiating. I won't be too judgmental after week 1, since the first game is usually a bad barometer of how the season will eventually go.

Some caveats about the offense:
This line has not played together at all in a game. Not once. Practices and intrasquad scrimmages are one thing - going up against Clemson's DL is another.
There is also very little experience at receiver.
Is there potential? Certainly. But they haven't gotten punched in the mouth by somebody else yet. And I am not as sold on this line as others. They haven't had to stand up to a pass rush like Clemson's or had to pick up twists and stunts from a really good defensive line in a real game yet.

I can't believe this comment is from the same poster who disparaged an organization contributing to our program with the comment:

How many of these whores do they get to bang as part of the deal?

Underrated statement. For all the grief we give Collins, TStan may be the real problem. Our best success came from great leaders like Homer Rice and Dan Radakovich. Tech has struggled with guys like Dave Brainless and now this guy Stansbury.

I think everyone knows Stansbury has to go. But until we get the right leader in as AD Tech will simply find their athletic department in a cycle of buyouts and losses.

Is there a grammatical issue with that post?

I didn't disparage the organization (although another poster definitely disparaged their core product). I just asked a question about the loose women that I typically associate with waitresses who serve customers dressed like this.

YMMV.

Anyway, sorry for your butthurt. But I did already apologize if my post offended your granddaughter.

And “crootin.”

I never even heard of that redneck lingo until I started posting here at Stingtalk. I'm just trying to fit in with the rest of you hillbilly posters.

To be fair. I did not attend GT. I am just a fan. Grew up a fan of GT. I had a chance to attend GT, but enlisted in the Marines instead. The rest, as they say, is history. Plus, I sucked at grammar.
Don't sweat it. I doubt that your grammar would have been any better if you had gone to Tech and graduated with Highest Honors. In one of my many former lives, I managed a group of about twenty engineers, including a couple of Tech grads. They were good electrical engineers, but they couldn't write, or even spell, to save their lives.

Of course that was before I switched careers to become head of crooting for the Gold Club. We used to find some of our best talent at Hooters.

I used to could and know I should and I probably would if only I could.

Happy now?

I think you’ll find that search results paint a different picture. In the first page that I looked at, it was you using it 9 times, one other guy saying it once, me making fun of you for saying it (because you sound like a dumbass, which is admittedly a step up from your usual “super angry dumbass” persona), and a few people quoting your posts. Let’s face it - you’re the “croot” guy.

You lazy öööööööööööö - you only looked at the most recent search results. There are pages of results going back to at least 2017 - three years before I even started posting here. Tons of "croot" posts predating my first appearance here. IOW, you rednecks have been "crooting" here for years before I even showed up.

What a disappointment you must be to your family. Then again, they were stuck with you - no one actually went out and crooted you to join.
