F tuning?

I know it is one of the things that the band has always done, but that doesn't change the fact that it is generally asinine and not very inspiring.

My kids always laugh at how bad the piped in music is. They typically pick songs from the mid 2000s. Whoever is in charge isn't very creative or knowledgeable about popular music.

What is that noisy tuning shit they play before they play at the campanile? They should break that out sometime and make the other team go WTF?

The chords are surprisingly loud and disruptive at field level, which is what they are intended to do. It's also become a signal to fans to get up and make noise which is also important since about half of the stadium is turned around talking to the person behind them for most of the game.

What's worse is that uga continues its schtick of ripping off everything Tech starts. During their game yesterday you can clearly hear Put On from the loudspeaker on key defensive plays. They also play Knuck if You Buck and All the Way Turnt Up. All started well after Tech had been doing it. Their dumbass fans say Tech copies it and use it as "little brother" fodder.

We must run out of öööö to play now because of all the third downs we allow the other teams to convert - only to do the same thing a few plays later. Drive after drive after drive...

I got tired of hearing F-Tuning when Al Groh was defensive coordinator....to me that sound became synonymous with the other team converting. now, when I hear it, I get a sinking feeling

Dwags' streak of being unoriginal continues

The volume of music was more reasonable at the GS game than the Miami game. At the Miami game I had to yell for my son sitting next to me for him to hear. I always voice displeasure with the music on their survey but after Miami I was a bit more emphatic. The GS game was much better other than third downs and kick offs. For some reason they insist on playing music in the run up to kickoff. Personally I think no music should be played unless there’s a media timeout or injury. Even then the DJ needs a spotter to make sure the band is not playing or suiting up to play.

watching some of the replay and in the 2nd half band is not playing on third down, but rather the PA guy is giving the obnoxious, over the top THIRD DOWN shout that seems to have become the custom at other stadiums particularly pro stadiums.

GTAA needs to lose the PA guy

That's was the whole point of the OP.

I have to agree. Love the Band. Their whole game sound is awesome until...the point I hate them ... third down. Blaah Blaaah Blaaaaah... then opponent First down.
Damn.
Cut Roof some slack... at least tune in D.
