And sooo many little things add up. Let's look at the last two years that held so much promise....we were literally ONE play away from winning 10, 11 , even 12 last year. We are ONE play away from having only one loss.

Why?
  • A lineman is tired because there's no backup for him so he holds....
  • A receiver loses concentration and drops the pass...
  • The QB hears the criticism and hesitates before throwing the ball...
  • A DB, despite practice and hard work, just isn't blessed with quite enough physical skills....
  • Any number of first line players have small nagging injuries that cost them a half-step...
It's all so close. Perhaps better coaching could overcome this, or perhaps the coaching is very good and has reached it's limit with what it has to work with.....

Perhaps the negative posters have made their sad prophesies come true...the barrage of coach-hate added to that one little bit of doubt and that 4 star didn't sign....perhaps the hate causes a player to doubt the coach and the system causing that crucial split second of delay....perhaps the victual bile poured out makes that nagging injury hurt that much worse.

Perhaps it's a self-fulfilling action.

I'm not defending Gailey; not in the least. He's had time, he's had his chances. I'm saying that some did their best NOT to help him. I'm saying that the next guy, I don't care who he is, should not be subjected to the same disrespect and hate that Gailey has had to endure ever since he came.

Show me where the hate, where buzzoff and it's minions has done Georgia Tech any good whatsoever. Show me.

People love to disparage the Hive for it's strict pro-Tech slant, but can anybody say that the Hive's rules have hurt the football program in any way?

Perhaps blowing smoke up their collective butts, gives the players and staff an over-inflated opinion of their skills, perhaps mitigating the desire to push themselves in practice and perhaps enter games fully motivated and prepared, thereby perhaps setting themselves up for getting their asses handed to them in the first quarter, which perhaps requires the gameplan to get tossed out the window as the team scrambles to come from behind once again, perhaps ultimately placing additional pressure on the individuals at a critical time in the game when they should be calmly concentrating on the task at hand, instead of perhaps panicking and failing to perform to the best of their true ability.

Perhaps it's a self-fulfilling action.

Hehehe...

Not bad, clappy, not bad.

But I think positive reinforcement is superior to negative...especially when much of the negative is way overblown.

I do not disparage the Hive for its pro-establishment slant. I think it's very healthy that the most 'official' of our boards maintains that kind of slant. I think The Hive helps our program out tremendously, and we should all appreciate the board mods at The Hive for doing so. Seriously.

I also think Buzzoff is pretty good for our program, expressly because it's so whack that nobody gives it any credit whatsoever, so it's a great place to lock the extremists behind a glass wall and laugh at them.

I'm glad I have a place to post disparaging things, and I'm glad DRad doesn't make decisions based on my Sunday Morning opinions.

I am glad that the Hive exists, but it really is not a "discussion" board. It's an "informational" board.
