I know some of you are gonna be pissed by what i am saying but i feel like it needs to be said… so f***k it… my questions with cam ward situation is: how does it different than nfl teams that already clinched #1 seed, they usually rest their star players except linemen or teams that are out of playoffs not playing their star players but still playing linemen… tbh i have no issue with cam ward decision as long as his HC and himself talked about it and agreed upon. The young man is making the best decision to avoid injury for before draft, but played some snaps because some nfl execs were there… other sports follow similar practice all the time… again, i have no dog in this fight but i do feel like the negative lights shed on him is a bit much… also i am no miami fans loll just my 2 cents

If that was his thinking, he should have sit out the entire game. Do you think his draft stock for setting some dumb record increased enough to offset the hit his draft stock took for being too chickenshit to put his helmet on and win one for his mates?

So risking injury is acceptable when it's for his benefit but when it's for his team's benefit then tough shit.

Wonder how his O Line who put their bodies on the line to protect him so he could set the record feel about that.

Agreed with most of what you said. None of us really know the reason behibd partial game. Prob best kept it between him and his HC.

The other players on the team don't matter? The fans don't matter? The program doesn't matter?

Why not just be selfish all the time? At work if someone wants my help with something, I ask myself, "How does this benefit me?" If it doesn't benefit me then why do it, right? Because I am the only person that matters.

I feel like there has been a loss of appreciation for the virtues of sport.

I never said other players aren’t important. I am saying this is not new in sports… let me offer a few examples: this weekend, josh allen of buffalo bills is very likely to start and take a few snaps to keep his record of “starting” and then not playing the rest of the game. In fact, a few years ago i remember tom freakin brady played one series in tampa against desmond ridder and the falcons and then sat on side line entire game also for keeping records of “starting” the game… i don’t recall folks shit on those guys… again, i am not a cam ward fans at all. I am a huge King fan. The point i was trying to make is this is not new and why folks only shit on him. You would want to at least be consistent. It would be diff if you str8 up say i don’t like that guy and screw him regardless of what he does, that i have respect for consistency lol

I agree with loss of appreciation for the virtue of sports, totally agree… i believe that ship has sailed for a while now. These days, most players opt out

This is what is killing the game for me. It’s become the second most selfish team sport behind the NBA.
