Hugh Freeze has coached Liberty to a 7-1 record this season.

Dang, that’s big money for that program.

Guess you can take him off the big board
That’s sorta dirty lolLiberty knows he's gone.
Some school who wants to win will come hire him and pay the buyout. If someone is going to pay a buyout to take your coach you may as well make it as big as possible...

Exactly what is being reported on the rumor mill. Barn boosters are “all in“ to land him. Supposedly Sankey has banned Freeze from coming back to the SEC (again more rumors) but I doubt he could really do that anyway. He’s going to Auburn.
The answer to that is $$$. A contract for enough millions and a coach can endure a lot. And when he loses enough to get fired because the boosters hose things up again, with a good buyout he’s set.Only problem for Freeze is, the Barn boosters control everything and not the AD. Not sure why any coach would want to deal with that nonsens.
I hear this guy runs the show at auburnThe answer to that is $$$. A contract for enough millions and a coach can endure a lot. And when he loses enough to get fired because the boosters hose things up again, with a good buyout he’s set.
Freeze is a damn good coach. He’s been nothing but successful regardless of where he’s been. I just don’t think Freeze wants to give up an easier job making $5 million a year to go into that mess that is Auburn. The answer to that is $$$. I’m not saying he goes to Auburn but most people aren’t just satisfied at a lower level when they know they can do more.Freeze is a damn good coach.
