I’m not claiming fan support isn’t important, but I don’t believe conference fan support or loyalty is a key driver to success in recruiting or the football field. Winning big games sure helps. And the SEC did a lot of that for close to 2 decades.
 
Too bad Clemson and FSU play during the regular season. It would be better if they didn't meet until the ACC Championship and were both undefeated. Then, if it's a relatively close game, it would next to impossible for them to deny 2 ACC teams in the playoffs, but let 2 SEC teams in.

Not saying I don't want us to beat Clemson, but I never thought that was gonna happen anyway.

What conference doesn’t want a good FSU? Even a bad FSU draws numbers.

We are in a new era of college football. I don’t know what it’s going to look like, but it will look more like the premier league than it does yesteryear conferences.

It wouldn't surprise me to see UF attempt to block FSU from getting in the SEC, the same way the mutts blocked us under Dooley, back when we still had a chance of being relevant.

Oh really? The damn conference seemed to. "The SEC, it just means more." Care to quote ANY ACC motto. I can guarantee you those words ran through the majority of their football players. You know it funny so many on here are bashing FSU because they exerted some balls recently for this very reason. Now most of you are trashing them for implying they were to do exactly WHAT MANY OF US STATE WE SHOULD DO. Seems more jealousy than anything else.

Winning two out of three forces the media to sing our conference’s praise for a couple of days. That will end soon. They will return to their persistent themes of SEC/Big 10 dominance by next weekend.

GT beating Ole Miss, being a longshot, would absolutely flip the SEC on their heads. I think our offense can slug it out. I am worried about our DL and how we still can just not get any pressure on a QB.

We need the SC State game to clean things up
