FSU vs LSU

Just started watching, recorded the game, but not sure which conference these zebras were from but the opening series for LSU they sure seemed to favor LSU. First the personal foul penalty called against #11 for late hit OMG that play happens all the time in football and is never called. Second LSU should have gotten a delay penalty called and was missed and third the offensive PI against FSU on their opening possession was a ticky call. Just as much a hold on the LSU DB. Thats about as far as I have gotten but already looks like the SEC gets the benefits of the calls.

As much as I hate to say it, a stronger ACC and showing makes it better for us and the conference. I would hate to lose Clem, F$U to the SEC. If the ACC blue bloods do well it generates more $, helps us in recruiting and shows everyone that the ACC is one of the ‘Big 4’. While I disagreed with adding Cal, Stanford, SMU, I am holding out that ND may one day join us in FB, especially if NBC doesn’t renew them. I don’t see that happening however. As I’ve digested the info and why from a TV revenue standpoint we couldn’t afford to not do anything. More $$ to the original members pacifies Clem, UNC and F$U which as I hate to say it are in the top 5 teams currently in the conference as we end week 1. So part of me does want them to lose because of the antics they’re pulling but I get it. At the end of the day I want Key to bring us back to winning relevance again because I do see JBatt and Cabrera playing chess now where we were playing checkers before. The Hyundai deal is one of the first moves. I’m sure we’ll see more. I’ll continue to buy my season tix and donate as I have since graduating in 1996. Win and they’ll come.
Batt and Cabrera have provided the money to hire additional coaches who are supposed to be good at their jobs. now it's up to them and Key to put a competitive team on the field. They did 3/4 of their job against Louisville , but that want be enough for the remaining schedule.

There's some SEC conspiracy that tanks these teams after they lose an out of conference game.. LSU will finish no better than 3rd in the West now

The ACC had a surprisingly good first weekend. No one completely bombed against a scheduled cupcake.

They lost this game last year and won the SEC West

You giving BC a pass?
I think of NIU as a pretty good team but looking at their recent w/l records that may be outdated. 10 years ago they were a force, as much of a force as came emerge from the MAC.

GT beating Ole Miss, being a longshot, would absolutely flip the SEC on their heads. I think our offense can slug it out. I am worried about our DL and how we still can just not get any pressure on a QB.

We need the SC State game to clean things up
I don't know that the SC State game will really tell us anything. I hope some of the backups get a little more PT so we can start building that depth.
But if we can't put pressure on an opposing QB, we will get outslugged quickly. I know it was Mercer, but Kiffy put up 600 plus yards and 13 different receivers caught passes. All three of his top QBs, including the Oklahoma State transfer and the LSU transfer, got in significant snaps.
Might as well call them Georgia Tech West too - Zamari Walton, Jared Ivey, Akelo Stone and Jamious Griffin are on all the roster and all played Saturday against Mercer.
