Any one have a higher-res version of this image?

I'd love to have a poster of a diesel engine with #21 in TECH colors running full steam ahead and Grant Field for the background!!:wow:--+ BUZZ as the engineer.

Funny thing is, I think the engine shown in the graphic is an old timey coal engine...

Um, I am not an train engineer, but didn't the coal engines also run on steam? Thought they all were steam engines -- just the source of the heat for the steam was different.

dont argue with him, he has a large carbon footprint! he can endanger your wellfare with a single ride to work! apparently he really understands these carbon-fuel issues since he acts like he does with that bumpersticker for idiots

Now he's going to call you a wuss.

My statement was to the fact that the train pictured is not a deisel engine. As someone have previously posted. As a matter of fact i dont know what you were supposedly calling me out for... I never said anything about steam...

Plus it's not a bumper sticker for idiots. Global warming is a non-existant cause for otherwise causeless idiots. Im just trying to make light of how pathetic you liberals are!...

so you think it doesnt have any effect to pump thousands of tons of chemical compounds into a mostly closed system

so far, in examining the world around me, i cant think of an instance where this type of behavior has NOT caused a problem. so go ahead, with your typical brash American rude-ass position of "ill pollute what i want - and im proud of it"

i guess we can always pray that there is no negative consequence.

And if you're that concerned with a damn jersey color you are a wuss! Who the hell cares what color they wear? They're 18 year old kids and the coaches let them pick what they want. So let 'em and keep your opinion out of it.

The "thousands of tons" of the CO2 that we "pump" into the atmosphere are negligible to the amounts of CO2 that exist naturally in the atmosphere. The CO2 generated by humans is a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of nature. And I don't know if things have changed but last I checked plants consume CO2 and release oxygen. This is not a noxious chemical we are releasing it is a natural part of the environment that the majority of living things on this planet need in order to survive. Also, there is just as much research to support global cooling as there is to support global warming so dont give me that crap either.

You're a classic American Hating Liberal. Go live in f'ing France if you hate Americans so much!

And lastly, when it comes to polluting and littering I'm as anti as any liberal there is. But don't feed me a bunch of bullcrap made up statistics and tell me how the world is going to end because of a naturally existing necessity to our envirnment. And then use that bullcrap excuse to pass unconstitutional legistlation and increase taxes.

Yes, I am concerned enough to make a meaningless post on a message board when there's nothing else to talk about. I'd say my concern about our jersey colors is one step away from controlling my life.

Now go back to trying to argue why your opinion is better than BuzzCzar's opinion about global warming in a football forum, you strong, manly, non-wuss. And rest assured, even if you stop arguing, we'll still get to know your opinion about it all the time thanks to your manly signature. Don't need to worry about you keeping your opinion out of it.

wrong board for this, but i never said anything about saving the world or any of the imaginary things that you invented in your head about me and my opinions like hating americans (i am one, btw)

secondly, while i agree plants could consume the CO2 if it wasnt the case that whereever people PRODUCE the largest amounts of CO2 is where they HAVE ALREADY DESTROYED the plants.

thirdly, while your claim of "only adding minutes fractional percentages" seems to be logical, it is in fact NOT logical b/c as you might note, things can react NON-LINEAR. Take as an example you body temperature. If i change it 1* that is only ~1%, but a few degrees change can kill you. Maybe (actually, likely) there is a "sweet spot" for the ratio of the atmospheric gases and a slight change in one could dramatically affect the balance.

fourth, while i dont necessarily agree with you about your characterization that "there is just as much evidence for cooling as for warming," i do realize that there is not perfect data, and there is conflicting data, and there is not enough data on the cooling/warming/whatevering. basically - i dont care whether the evidence for that exists or not. this is what does exist: higher rates of skin cancer, higher incedence of lung disease, higher rates of air pollution, etc etc

so, while you may classify me into some group that i dont really know, the fact is i am concerned with:
  • low-level ozone in Atlanta where the weather forecast says "dont go outside today"
  • significant increases in skin cancer rates
  • higher asthma rates
  • living in smog
  • and all the other consequences that are already happening
these are all things that affect the QUALITY of life of humans on Earth, not protecting some species or talking about the end of the planet -- i think the planet will be fine, but i would like my kids to have a less polluted environment, and learn how to treat things with RESPECT.

IMO your dumb catchphrase is disrespectful

All I ever did was defend myself from the supposed insult of being called an American. Czar was the one who decided to go the politics route with the discussion.

If you're feelings are that hurt by me calling you a wuss on a football message board where, then I'm truly sorry.
