Future of Upper North Stands?

I don't know if you've ever seen other schools' weight rooms, but ours is severely lacking. It has to be the worst in P5.
I have seen only photos. I will say this: Our weight training facilities are very nice. However, if we somehow see the need to "keep up with the Joneses" on these things we definitely need to establish a very large capital improvements fund because that is a never-ending process of big expenditures. Somebody is always renovating and moving higher on the state-of-the-art scale. You cannot fund that stuff out of your operating budget, nor can you continue borrowing funds to do it ad infinitum.

Steam plant going strong!

Speaking of the steam plant, we were just talking about it. Why should coaches get buyouts? Why does Collins get millions to do nothing? We all said he should have been reassigned to the steam plant. He would have been extremely well paid, but at least he would have to work for his money.

That’s the way the contract is written.

I have seen this moron on the football field - I wouldn't put his ass anywhere near a boiler.

Neyland has a few of those seats up next to the press box. I went up there to see and you couldn't see half the field.
They are on each side of the press box. The side with bench seats and the side with chairs.
Not my photo, this is the south end zone (river side).

Not my photo.

Here's the chair side. If you go to Neyland, I suggest buying chair seats, not bench seats, since they have a seat number about every 6 inches in the benches, it seems.

I went up one game and sat in these. Almost every other trip to Neyland, I have been mid upper deck, chairs, centered.

We just went to Madison Square Garden and dealt with partially obstructed seats. They have the Chase Bridge that was added to the arena and it obstructs the view for a ton of upper level seats. We could see the entire playing surface (except for the head of the 6’7” Slavic dude in front of us) but could only see the bottom 1/4 of the Jumbotron. It was aggravating - especially since the seats were listed as unobstructed view.

If going to MSG for an event and sitting high, I would buy bridge seats instead. Yes, they are higher, but they are further out and over the playing area - almost like looking down on it. And there are no view obstructions (you are the obstruction).

No idea if this is true or not, but a friend who usually gets accurate info says he has heard that the south stands are going to be demolished. Anybody else heard anything about this?
