Gailey has lied to us, we're screwed

Has Gailey been quoted as saying that he no longer wants to win the championship or beat ugag? Please link the article.

He must have, he had 2 (countem yourself) golden opportunities to accomplish both and failed at both!

It's like this, I changed my mind about posting very much like Gailey did on winning the ACC and beating Ugag. So if I'm lying then Gailey lied about winning the ACC and beating Ugag!

Coach Gailey hasn't lied. He's stated their goals. They hasn't achieved them. That's not lying.

You changing your mind isn't lying, but I don't know how stable you are. I haven't read one single post you've made that has any real purpose to it.

Feel sorry for you. From everything I've ever read, you've got issues.

What you write here might not be a reflection of who you are in person. At least I certainly hope not.

Lying Liars And The Lies They Lie

I counted lies in this thread.

Chan: zero

helluvaparafan: at least 13, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt when I could. Good thing he stopped responding once his troll bait was taken.

Well jackass, I'm back. I pulled my 24 hour shift serving the public away from a computer terminal and the internet.
Let me say it as plainly as I can for you.

If you have no intention of opening up competition at a given position, but give the impression to reporters that no position is safe and that everyone will be re-evaluated based on past performance and future practice, and then without even one practice session to evaluate anyone, stay with a starter who has a track record 4 years long of up and down performance and crap performances in games this season (Clemson, UNC, UGA, & Wake), then yes sir, I say that you have lied.

HA HA. That's a stretch to say the least. :laugher:

I'll say again. Coach Gailey hasn't lied!!

BTW, I'll say this as plainly as I can. You're opinion is your opinion. Your opinion doesn't make Coach Gailey a lier. Is that plain enough for you?

I sure hope you don't serve the public where I live. I'll move!!:laugher:

When I was young and before I went to college and became an engineer I said I wanted to be a $,$$$,$$$.$$ I knew the chances were slim to none so I was lying to myself and the friends I told of my plans. Well it's this way Gailey said I want to win an ACC and beat Ugag did he not. He knew with his record and his abilities to choose coaches and his inability to coach up the SA's (our QB as an example) he would probably be unable to accomplish his stated goals then he lied. The best of intentions and $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee in most any greasy spoon.

Dang, I go out of town for two days and I miss the old Fogster.

Fogster, you forgot to tell us you also had polio and walked miles to school and how you ended up better because of your degree and how you would fire people under you because they lied, I think you get the picture. Please leave if you have any dignity left or wait, you lost that long ago.

Once again you spew crap on Gailey just because it makes you feel good. I know, now you think we love mediocrity go ahead and bring that up also, that's one thing I haven't heard from you in a while either.

Oh wait you will go to your other board to blast everyone here because you don't have the nads to do it here!

I know you didn't bring it up so don't come back and say you never said anything about it but Bobby Dodd is not coaching any more and please don't remind us of how HE would have done it.

You get so old it's pathetic!

If I call you a liar, am I not casting aspersions on your character? Do you really not see the difference between being unsuccessful and LYING???

I'll bet if I said "Foggy lies about stuff on Stingtalk all the time," instead of "Foggy is rarely successful at conveying an intelligible thought," you'd see a difference in those two sentences.
Children , children !!!!!!---Immaturity 101 --and from AARP members at that--

Granted, they are different, and yet also equally true.

We all know Gailey lied when he said next level, beat UGag, win an ACC, so it's easy to make the leap to Gailey lied about the QB situation. I doubt there is a GT fan/man who does not wish our QB to have a good game. The problem is we've all seen our QB for 4 years now and many if not most have their doubts about him.

Oldfoggy, your DEFINITION of lying is the typical DEMOCRAT definition of lying.
Doesn't fit Webster's at all.

Re: You called him a LIAR, Foggy!!!

mover, you and I both know a bully and that is exactly what foggy is he uses every excuse in the world get his point across even though it makes no sense and then uses the polio or bad leg as a crutch to insult even in PM's.

There are to many on these boards that use annomity to say and insult others anyway they want, foggy dose that but basicly tell you who he is then use's the bad leg or polio to get away with it there will come a day when he runs into the wrong person.

Re: You called him a LIAR, Foggy!!!

of, that doesn't even make sense. Gailey's goals are still winnign the ACC and beating ugag. The fact that he hasn't done either doesn't mean he's lying, it means he hasn't accomplished his goals. To call that a lie is simply ignorant.

I really don't see how you came to the conclusion that Gailey lied on the assumption of what you THINK he infered to a reporter because I saw nowhere in the article that the reporter said exactly that. You are also ASSUMING the rest on you own. Coach Gailey has said nothing to that effect.
We have a QB controversy going on at GT what makes you think that the reporter didn't phrase that statement so that it could be taken different way's.

Re: Here is what I do know . . .

Jerry the Jacket said:
. . . for the last several games, UNC, UGA and Wake, Reggie Ball has performed very poorly. That is called a record and most all are judged on their record. Would another QB have performed better, well nobody knows but the odds are favorable that a change offered the best hope for improvement.

If Taylor Bennett, Jonathon Garner and Kyle Manley can not perform better than Reggie then we are in for some rough days ahead. Maybe Threet will be a golden boy and lead us to better days ahead.

Flawed logic or not, Coach owes it to the team to explore alternatives to something that is not working.

Go Jackets!

Jerry,

I think you are picking a time frame that is convenient to support your argument. I completely agree that some bench time may be beneficial. However, based on the whole of his work, Ball deserves the chance to go out and prove himself. If we don't score and the same accuracy problems are evident, then by all means sit him and see if Bennett can get it done. If he can't, the rest of the guys would have to burn a redshirt I believe, give Ball another chance.

What we do agree upon is

Go Jackets!!!

Re: Lying Liars And The Lies They Lie

Actually I've had the pleasure of meeting 'medic and he's quite a nice guy. He's also one of the guys who responded to my mothers' 911 call when she had her heart attack last year around this time and who is responsible for getting her to the ER alive.

Count yourself lucky if he ever responds to your emergency.

Have the Catholic schools let out for the holidays? All I see on this thread are little school girls pointing fingers at "liars." Feel free to have nap-time in between posts if it helps anyone.

Therein lies the problem with internet message boards. People too often see a poster, but not a person. Let's all just sing Kumbaya and have a beer. No holding hands, BOR. You either, Pocket.

Lively debate is one thing, but I won't resort to silly name calling!

By the way, will you be allowed to watch the Gator Bowl if georgia loses in the Peach? ;)

Just kidding! Merry Christmas.

My only concern is a little Yellow Jacket popping out during the game. The wife's about to burst, so I don't think we'll make it to Jan. 10th.

Wouldn't it be great if we scored a touchdown just AFTER he was born? Then again if he comes Jan 1st, we'll miss out on that big tax break!
