Gailey's stubborness.

No question the worst play in 3 consecutive games of football I've ever seen by a QB.

Bless his heart.

And with what we've seen from TB so far this season, it may not have been worse, but it wasn't likely to be better.

Clearly you do need a reminder of Reggie's stat line for the UGA game.

WITH the concensus #1 WR in the nation, he:

Gained 41 yards passing.
Lost 30 yards in sacks.
Net gain of +11 yards for the entire game.
Turned the ball over 3 times
UGA earned a total of 10 points directly off Reggie turnovers without actually advancing the ball on offense from the location of the turnovers.

For every yard he gained for us, he gave a point to them. If he had simply closed his eyes and spiked the ball on every passing play, we would have been 11 yards less on offense, but 3 less turnovers and won by two scores. That's how bad he played. We could have won the game playing 10 on 11, but he was actually essentially playing for their team. His performance versus UGA was the most disgusting failure in the history of football.

We must be watching different teams. TB's best games have certainly been better than RB's worst games. That is the point.

TB's worst games are better than RB's average games.

I agree with you --but you did forget that the Duke game was sandwiched in between the UNC and UGA games.

I cannot believe that anybody is seriously contending that RB didn't need to sit a few series based on his performance towards the end of last season.

Here are the numbers:
UNC -W 7-0
P: 10/24 - 78 yds - 1 int
R: 4 - (-3 yds)

Duke -W 49-21
P: 7/13 - 122 yds - 3td -1 int
R: 4 - 2 yds

TB's numbers against Duke:
P: 6/12 - 126 yds - 2td - 1 int
R: 2 - 3 yds

UGA: -L 12-15
P: 6/22 - 42 yds - 2 int
R: 11 - (-10 yds) - 1 to

WF: -L 6-9
P: 9/29 - 129 yds - 2 int
R: 15 - 46 yds

TB's numbers against WVA -L 35-38
P: 19/29 - 326 yds - 3td - 1 int
R: 3 - (-19 yds)

- - - - -
QB comparison over the last four games of the season:

RB- P: 32/88 (36%) - 371 yds - 3 td - 6 int
TB- P: 25/41 (61%) - 452 yds - 5 td - 2 int

Looking at these numbers makes it even more unbelievable --10+ months later-- that the HC stuck with his starting QB against the in-state rival, in the ACCCG and in the Gator Bowl.
