Geoff’s Last Ride?

Lots of rumors that he will be fired AFTER the Duke game. Whether that is true or not, you know Collins has got to know he is done. So why on earth doesn't he just go ahead and resign?

If he wasn’t fired after Ole Miss pounded us at home, why would he be fired after UCF beats us on the road?

I think he’ll stick around until he loses to Duke at home and we are 1-5. A bye week is a good time for an interim to take over and try to reset.

I'm praying it is. I do not want to see the impending bloodbath if he shows up in Pittsburgh.

Pretty sure Narduzzi is going to punch him in the mouth as a parting gift.
Anyone here starts taking Naduzzi's side because Gefof is a ööööup, your life is forfeit and you will die a squealing eunuch like your bitch father before you. Fair warning frens

My read of Stansbury's email saying they would fix the issues this week was win or be fired.

If that's not the case, then we'll get two more weeks of acrimony, rancor, and lots of outside commentary about how Geoff and increasingly Todd's seats are glowing like a light bulb filament. Those two weeks will end with one of if not the lowest home ACC footbal game attendance before an openly hostile crowd that lays into Geoff every time he screws up or looks like Bizarro Mike Elko when comparing what he's doing in Year 1 to what Geoff is doing in Year 4.

What if it's get $7M now or be humiliated for 3 months and get $7M then

Collins knows we are not going to wait until Jan 1 to fire him if he’s losing every week. It does too much damage to recruiting, and the optics for Stans would be horrible, thus forcing his hand to cut Collins loose.

Collins is getting $10M. Only an idiot would quit and say goodbye to $3M.

If its good for the goose...

Recruiting is hit regardless of what we do, we are going to lose most if not all of our games whether we fire him now or not. And everyone knows he'll be fired at least we have a punching bag for the rest of the season and can just blame him, and save $3M.

We aren't gonna sell any more tickets this year, maybe concessions go up but it isn't gonna equal $3M

If we got Bill Curry or George O'Leary to come coach the rest of the season, or announced we were hiring Deion Sanders on Dan Mullen or somebody good and people started seeing a turnaround, we would sell more tickets. If we played better we'd sell more tickets. If fans thought we had done something to give them hope, we'd sell more tickets. Plus, we might keep some players from leaving or get some recruits to come, if it looked like there was something positive happening, the press might go from how bad things are to who comes next. So, there would be a lot of advantages in changing things now.

Collins looks like a lame duck if he rides out another pitiful season. He’s not gonna wait until Jan 1.
