Eh, hiring someone else interim is throwing good money after bad, we aren't going to do demonstrably better under an interim, and it's not really hope anyway cuz there'll be a new coach next year.

No one is going to buy tickets because Long is an interim, more current ticket holders might show up and increase concessions, but thats about it

Id just tell him he's going to be fired on 1/1, and he can either take the $7M now or wait and get the $7M then. Then I'd extend Weinke to 4 years and let it be known he'll still be on staff next year, regardless, and he'd do nothing but recruit. I can't imagine whomever we hire would be too upset being forced into Weinke as a qb coach. Im sure Coach Prime wouldn't mind and itd be some good continuity.

WTF has Weinke done as a coach to earn such rewards? Certainly doesn't look like it's had any demonstrable effect on Sims. Also there's no way we can wait until 1/1 to begin our official coaching search unless we're planning to throw the next couple years away under a temp coach.
 
I believe Sims is only here because of CGC, it's not up to Weinke to choose QBs on gameday.Any other coach on board will go w the best QB that's available that shows the most potential. CGC is tied at the waist w Sims.

This game didn't change anything. The kids will play hard for Collins because they like him. But they can't do the basics and nobody taught them how to win.
