I was personally hoping he would be let go before Pitt. But, as others have pointed out, there are a number of formalities involved so he may be around for a few more games. I don't know what is so hard to demoting him or "leave with pay" to allow us to begin the transition rather than just let this idiot continue to demonstrate his incompetence at our expense.
It's frustrating to say the least. I dont think there's any president for doing such a thing, but it be interesting to see the wording of the contract to see if I could be done, otherwise I'd imagine other places would have done it already without having to have an interim coach.
Others have speculated to the same points. All that does is point back to incompetence at the Athletic Director level for agreeing to such terms for an unproven coach.
Yeah might as well just be competitive in games, and compete for an ACC championship every few years, and score 50+ a couple times a year. That would just be so lame.
