Geoff Collins on 680 This Morning

Could you elaborate on why listening to him in this video is more tolerable than any he's done since he called us all retarded? I'm genuinely asking, if we are going to have him on the sidelines this year I will take any opportunity to like him a bit more again.

I'm 2/3rds of the way through. I haven't heard juice once. I posted this without even finishing it cause the change in tone is that obvious.

He's insightful, answers questions directly, etc. He sounds like a football coach instead of a C-suite marketing exec.

He's got some great insight into the Portal and coaches coming and going. There's some notable/admirable answers with some read between the lines mixed in.

If you are lying I will never ööööing forgive you. I mean it.

"how can i positively affect Georgia Tech football to the fullest capacity"

I got an idea, Coach.
You ain't gonna like it.

Listening to this and ... I am just as underwhelmed as usual when he speaks.

Easily his best public appearance and interview.

Like, that’s a different cat answering questions today.

No it isn't.
The one thing that did stand out is late when he talked about things that worked before maybe not working now and how to change them.
That he waited this long is telling. Besides, every program does a top-down review every year.
Shouldn't take three years to realize this öööö.

I don't have a subscription to Rivals, but apparently several other players from the 2014 Orange Bowl besides Burden have expressed considerable concerns about Collins ---

5 minutes in and not really hearing the difference. Sorry.

"Evaluating everything in the program" is the new "culture"

Every day!!!
I’ve long given up on waiting for him to say so-and-so position group isn’t getting it done or we need more explosiveness out of this unit or we have higher expectations that X year starters shouldn’t be making mental mistakes or miscommunicate on a read/line call/coverage call.

Like I alluded to earlier, I heard today was far more managerial in terms of communicating in a way that makes it sound like he’s closer to having his finger on the pulse of reality than sounding like some Fifth Ave marketing bro stuck up in an office suit spouting öööö about making a paradigm shift with an emphasis on synergy and disrupting the status quo.
