Buzz ded
This too. AA has been minimizing and deemphasizing the use of Buzz intentionally for the past few years and pushing the interlocking GT as our unifying brand.

I'd love to see something like that. Everybody else has more than 2 options it seems.Thread hijack.... how great would this look on an alternate helmet...

I like option 2 of those. I'm very interested in seeing what they choose to do.This is a pretty interesting question. At one point in the late 90s we had a giant inflatable buzz in the South End Zone that was yellow and black like the cheerleader mascot Buzz. A UGA fan vandalized the inflatable Buzz and it was replaced by a gold metallic Buzz.
There are two options I think:
1) change the yellow in Buzz to the new gold. Including updating the cheerleader mascot.
2) keep Yellow Jacket colors for Buzz. Give him a new sweater that is the new gold with a white GT. Or a white sweater with the new gold GT. Think about the Florida Gator mascot. Their mascot is green but green is not one of their colors.
Is it too weird to make the lines in the wings spell out yellow jackets? Plenty of logos where the images spell words. You'd have a retro logo, a big T, and the words Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets spelled out.Thread hijack.... how great would this look on an alternate helmet...

I beg to differ. You want an expert on gold? None better than this guy.![]()
Ok, looking through these gifs, I have definitely underrated this character. Freaking hilarious.I beg to differ.

Even more stunning was the consistent shade of blue jackets and sweatshirts Tech fans wore. Really made the stadium look packed with Kentucky fans.I was at the Jax Bowl game outside stadium talking to some Ky folks. As we looked around at Tech fans even Ky fans remarked on all the different shades of gold we had.It was STUNNING.(and funny)
See the Ramblin' Wreck. There is the winner... end of discussion.
Getting rid of the gold helmet is blastphemous.I agree, but I bet a helmet, shirt, jersey, pants, socks, blanket, hats, banners, balloons, book covers, seat covers, pencils, pens, coats, sweatshirts, ties can not all be made to match the R/R and each other.
Consistent Gold in fabric would be easy. If we want a Gold helmet to match it would probably need to be Flat paint or else go to White helmet.
