The bigger question is were those QB keepers designed, or were they the result of old habits and muscle memory kicking in? Personally I think it was a guy that that resorted to what he has known most of his life, and that was tuck it down and take off when feeling the pressure. Old habits are hard to get rid of, especially when under pressure, but for the sake of our offensive progression we need a guy that's going to stay true to the new plan....whoever that may be.

As the season goes on, I expect Johnson and Graham to slowly get more playing time than Oliver. I also expect Yates to play in four games (including the next 2 and then some combination of VT, NC State, and Pitt) to get him some experience ahead of next year.

Point being that we won't know who our real QB is until they start against Miami.

Did we hear that from anyone reputable? Did a coach ever say it?

We heard speculation from media members who attended many practices.

So what you're saying is you wanted to lose 70-0 last night? look it was the first time around with the new offense so basically EVERYBODY was a freshman, against the best defense we will face this year in all probability. Let's see how it goes in the next game before we start talking about a blaze of glory.

Which we should know by now means absolutely nothing.

He was the starter with the 1's in the spring game.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I seem to recall that Tobias Oliver was hurt and couldn't play in the spring game.

He was on the sideline with his arm in a sling, but I don't know if he would have started. Far from an expert, but Graham looked better to me in the Spring game.

It depends on your definition of reputable. Obviously the staff never explicitly put that out, but everybody around the program that had the opportunity to see scrimmages and/or practice seemed to think he would be the starter.

I say we just start TO the rest of the year and try to secure the number 1 draft pick to use on a top-notch QB
