Great job defense and Birr

It was strange. We line up to kick the last FG....False start -5 yards....and I thought "meh, no BFD. He'll drill it."

And he did. Not since Butker have I had "gimme" PK confidence.
I was the opposite, but he just casually kicked it again like NBD. That got my attention. My PTSD regarding special teams has not abated.

That one was a bad call but it was an understandable call in real time. The final PI that led to their TD was criminal.
My issue with it being called was neither of the two officials closest to the play made the call. An official across the field made the call. How do you throw that flag when both right there did not? That might be a clue to a savvy official to leave the hanky in your pocket.

FG kicking often seems to have a big mental component. No matter how good they are at practice, they need to have the ice water in their veins when it counts, so it's good to have a guy with a name like "Birr".

Seems like the def was mostly sending 4 rushers in the first half, but felt like it was averaging 5 in the 2nd half. So much blitzing...

The new touch back rules seem to make kickoffs rather unnecessary...

Birr-tker

I did like the change where we had a LB "spying" on the QB to mitigate the QB scramble, which has been killing us

On the play when the Tech player ran into the Wake receiver, the receiver turned, saw the ball was overthrown and just stopped his route so he would get run over. The football equivalent of stepping in the lane to draw a charging foul.
I thought that ball looked uncatchable, isn't that supposed to nullify Pi?
