Read it on a blog. If true this makes the first game more interesting.
 
We could let Jax state watch everyone of our practices, and have PJ walk them through each play step by step.

They still couldn't beat us.

one of the brothers of one of my friends will be playing for JaxSt
he just transferred from a JUCO there
funny note is that his last name is Nesbitt, so it could be Nesbitt tackles Nesbitt
the guy apparently played with Dwyer growing up too, they are good friends. he says "LOTS of smack talk will be going on"
 
Good luck to Greg. My season tickets used to be next to his parents. They are good people. Greg's Mom was wearing a red hat to one of the games. We gave her a hard time but it was all in good fun. We bought her a Tech hat for the next game.

I think he is immediately eligible since they are one division below us in NCAA jargon. Used to be called Div-1AA but not sure what it is now. I feel certain with only one season of eligibility remaining he would have made sure of that.

It's now called Div. I Football Championship Subdivision

it is now called the FCS or Football Championship Subdivision as opposed to us in the FBS or Football Bowl Subdivision; so they are not a division below us, but a subdivision. got it?

What he is saying is that Division I has two subdivisions, one called the Bowl Championship Series (that's the real division I, including the ACC, SEC, Big 10,etc.) the other called the Championship Series (Jax State, Appalachian, Ga. Southern, etc.), the old IAA. We can only go to bowls, they have a playoff, a "championship series."

After that comes Division II (Valdosta) and III (who knows?).

Then there's the NAIA.
 
Brad Jefferson will lead the Yellow Jackets in tackles vs JSU.

A little revenge thing (he injured his wrist badly in that game last year).

IIRC, he injured his wrist hitting a guy out of bounds and got a 15 penalty. He was a wild man up until that point. That was just what our LB corps needed a little more of last year.

So is there really any difference between DIAA and FCS? Or is it just nomenclature.

It's just nomenclature. FCS and FBS are the "official" terms, but I'll always and forever use 1-A and 1-AA...
