Just as an addendum, NAIA is not affiliated with the NCAA.

Yea and NAIA is considered a step below FCS and above Div II cause of the types of schollys they can give out. An athlete will get a better scholarship at an NAIA school than Div II cause of less limitations.

This is true. I graduated from an NAIA school and we had better athletes and facilities (in bball and baseball) than most Div II schools I've been to. Unfortunately, we do not have a football team yet...

IIRC, he injured his wrist hitting a guy out of bounds and got a 15 penalty. He was a wild man up until that point. That was just what our LB corps needed a little more of last year.
I assume you mean we needed more of the wild man part while he was in bounds? It was a well deserved penalty, just not the injury part.

Yes, while in bounds. I think the youth of our LB's last year made them a little bit hesitant. It's important to play smart. But sometimes you have to gamble a little bit.

And I always liked the FSU defensive philosophy of "playing through the whistle". That bit of extra nastiness does a defense well.

FCS (Div1aa) might as well be two divisions below FBS (Div1a). Until they start winning more games against the FBS schools, they don't belong on the same level in conversation or paper.

And what would you propose we put in the middle?

What?

Actually, if Jax St had our playbook it might make the game a little more useful as a tune up.

^ haha that's awesome.

Just remember if the BCS has anything to do with it something will be all whacked up. For example we would get turkey bacon instead of just bacon.

Bear in mind, the I-A/AA classification only counts for football. In basketball, baseball, tennis, whatever all those teams are just plain old Division I.

A coed league?

Seriously, anything below Div1a is pointless other than to act as a whipping post and a near-automatic W.

[FONT=&quot] What exactly are you driving at? Of course Div1AA teams are worse than D1A. That's why they're a different (sub)division. How does that make them pointless? It's just a lesser league where some of the teams play one game a year against D1A teams for monetary reasons. No one is talking about them like they're equal in level of play to D1A teams or campaigning to get them more air time on ESPN.

That's where you're wrong. No one on here is right now, but there are quite a few fans from those smaller schools that are thinking just that. I had a GSU alum coworker who constantly stated that Tech was scared to play them. The App St win over Michigan just made it worse.
