Home attendance?

Tell me you don't understand the drivers of conference expansion without telling me you don't understand the drivers of conference expansion.

Stupid Big 10. Washington and Oregon were the proper play here.
UW and Oregon probably on the move too.

how long till SEC makes their next move? end of the day? smh. its a öööö show.

We don’t really bring anything to the SEC table. Neither does Clemson or FSU. They’ll go for UNC and UVA. They want the big state schools.

We need to be pushing hard for a B10 invite that maybe we could use to force the SEC’s hand if they wanted to keep the B10 out of the south.

"Can we join the SEC????"

LOL. That brings back memories of every college party I ever attended at UF whenever I visited Gainesville. Except for the stern looking brother and dork with the twisted sunglasses, I'm wondering if their collective IQ could break triple digits.

Guys, in every scenario like this one that we find our way in, we always get screwed. I can't believe people can see this any other way. No chance we get an offer from the SEC at all, that's laughable. And the BIG10, we missed that train. iiwii

it doesn't matter what happens with the conferences. The way to fix this is to start winning right now. If we go another 2 or 3 years of this because of continued mismanagement and further coaching changes, we are screwed no matter what conference we end up in.

This is the most critical point Tech has been in since homer rice fellas.

SEC won't even give us a sniff. The SEC should go after Miami for the south Florida market then VaTech and UNC

I agree that we should be pushing hard for a B10 invite, but why on earth would the SEC want UNC or UVA?

They will come over.

Taking USC and UCLA knocks out the core of the PAC. Everyone else in the PAC is easy pickings now.

Also, USC and UCLA being the southernmost major schools in the PAC, and being relatively closer to Texas, were at risk of being poached by the SEC.

It will be close to impossible for the SEC to poach schools that are further north of the Southern California schools, so this puts the B1G in a great position to poach other PAC schools whenever they need to.

If you are attractive and/or charming you don’t need much of an IQ to make it in this world.

That might have been true when seeking TV markets were the main driver. They need eyes and fan draw, and I am pretty sure UNC and UVA aren’t going to provide that over Clemson and FSU. The academicians at those schools would rather move to the Ivy League than join the SEC
