Depends on the manner of the loss. If it's a repeat of the Chik fil a bowl then it will be hard to argue against (regardless of what the truth is).

That was an ugly loss for sure, but it's probably worth considering the box score again:

It says "bend don't break," when executed properly, really works vs us.

MSU is the best "bend don't break" team in the country this year.

That's the biggest matchup. Their red zone D vs our red zone O.

Well it's kind of related to what I put in parenthesis. It doesn't matter what we think about that game in the past, whether from opinion or from data, because what everyone else decided it meant was our offense gets shut down in bowl games.

How will MSU handle the big stage? A year ago, they needed 2 OT wins at the end to get bowl-eligible (they beat Rice in the Liberty Bowl). They lost their biggest tests this season against Bama and Ole Miss. They were drinking some serious Cool-Aid most of the year. Meanwhile, Tech beat the dwags in Athens and played well in Charlotte. We might surprise them.

You realize the fewest points we've been held to this season is double that number, right?

Mississippi State gave up 31 to Kentucky, 31 to TAMU, 29 to LSU (whose offense is terrible), 34 to UAB (whose team doesn't even exist anymore), 31 to Ole Miss, etc.

It's happened before (give or take) when it comes to bowl games.
