Tech has had so many it's hard to pick just one. But, if I were to pick one it would have to be Billy Lothridge. He did it all as QB, punter, kick off's, x points, and field goals. So if I were starting a team today he would be my first pick.

I'm gonna go with Mark Price first.
Randy Rhino would be another goody(hell of a baseball player too)
Then I'd take Shawn Jones, Eddie Lee, and Joe Ham.

It would be hard to name the best athlete. The best athlete might not have even played first string in his sport.
I guess you could call the best athlete as the one with the best build, least body fat, fastest time in the 40, tall, etc.
I will try to name some of the best players for their sport considering the era they played.
In football, it would have to be Leon Hardeman, Wade Mitchell, George Morris, Larry Morris, Eddie Lee Ivery, Shaun Jones. I would give the award to Leon Hardeman for the best, pound for pound.
In basketball, it would have to be Rich Yunkus or Dennis Scott, and Mark Price and Roger Kaiser are not far behind.
Since I have not followed Tech baseball that closely, I cannot comment on baseball.
It would be hard to name the best athlete. The best athlete might not have even played first string in his sport.

eddie lee was something else.

if th had not torn up his knee last year
imo he may well have surpassed everyone!

Basketball: Dennis Scott. Yunkus was a great player but Dennis could either post up or roam outside for the 3. He was the lethal in the Lethal Weapon 3.

I sort of remember Lothridge from when I was a kid, but not well enough to have an opinion. In football, I'd probably have to say Ken Swilling, before his ankle injury. He just had the look of somebody who could do anything.
In basketball I'd say D Ferrell. He had just the best body for basketball I've seen at Tech. He could handle, he could shoot, he could get up over the rim, he could play D. Although he was never a star in the pros, you don't last as long as he did without being an athlete.

I guess my all time favorite offensive player was Joe Hamilton; and a couple of others (of many) offensive players that I enjoyed watching were Eddie Lee Ivery and ramblin' Robert Lavette.
On defense, two (of many) that I always enjoyed watching were Lucius Sanford and Mackel Harris.

Downeastjacket, I will not disagree with you on Scott, but you have to remember there was no three when Yunkus played. He had no reason to go outside much, but I have seem him swish many from the corner.
BeeWare, I will have to agree on Lucius Sanford as the epitomy of an athlete. He definitely had the build of an athlete.
