I dont rate him as good as JT as a coordinator so what else is it that has you guys enamored with him?>
**EDITED FOR BOR**
Please sell me on him. I seriously want to know as much about him as you guys do.

He's young? could be good

He yells? = energy, fine, most coaches yell, no problem there

I rate him as a "B" coordinator so sell me on him as our next HC..
NOTE: "B" is above average.

What else

Success at both Pros and College is one big plus. He's also young, energetic, and will inject energy into GT unlike any other candidate. Also will tear up the recruiting trails in the Southeast.

Energetic + passion = exciting offense (at least imo), which is what this program needs to reach supremacy in the ACC and ultimately, Nationally.

No. Go do your own homework before you go making ill informed opinions about a guy who is "young and yells". No one on here should have to sell you on anything. As a ex-player, I think it is in your best interest to research everything you can on all the candidates. Then sit back and wait while that one is announced so you can have reasons to show your support for him other than stating things that have absolutely no merit.

This comment alone makes it quite clear that you have no clue as to what it is you are talking about. Go do some homework Nate before you getting mad that "YOUR GUY" wasn't hired. We need to show support on whomever is hired.

I'm with ya '56, he is a young energetic defensive coordinator with no head coaching experience.

Why is that so impressive?

Maybe we would all be happier with a older more experienced head coach that won a D-1AA National Championship, has head coaching experience at the pro and college levels, and ran some "innovative" offenses with various NFL teams as an OC. Oh, did I mention he coached the Dallas Cowboys.

Now just for fun go look at the top ten teams in the nation and who is coaching those teams. List EACH one of them and then tell me which one of those had prior head coaching experience before they were offered that particular job.

success in the pro's? what was his role in Miami because they didnt have much success did they? I dont remember

he might be a good recruited, I agree, but we need more than just a young, who has, energy, and might be a good recruiter./...

whats his record, his CV, if you will please?

After you do that..... Shut the F**K up because you were just owned.

WOW...

I guess it is not ok to ask about WM.

Maybe I should do it more politically correct for BOR. Since as an ex-player, I need to go do my homework!

To me it seems some people are really high on him and all I was asking was why? I want to like the guy and will support him if he is hired.

He is young, which could be good.

he yells, ok he has energy, no problem there, might be good

He coordinated at Auburn and LSU.... did a good job. I would say that I think JT did more with less talent but I am NOT saying I want JT as a coach, just rating them strictly on coaching defense.

Lastly, BOR why are you so hostile?

Nate,

Nick Saban promotes this guy at the each of 31 to be the DC at LSU. He wins a National Championship as a DC. Nick Saban takes this guy to the NFL to be his DC at the age of 34. It would seem like his boss thought he was a pretty good coordinator. Auburn and LSU's defensive numbers have been outstanding under his watch. Oh yeah, he is also considered one of the best recruiters in the Southeast and already has ties with many of our current targets and players. He's young and agressive and coaches with passion. Kids love him and play very hard for him. Whether it has been at West Georgia or Auburn reports are that he can motivate and kids like to play for him. He has a great personality, is good with the media and fans, and I think he would have more than a little interest in the UGA/GT rivalry once he hooked his ship to ours.

Once he signs with GT, UGA ain't takin' him back.

I hope I get to meet you one day

Nate,

I wouldn't disagree that Tenuta has done more with less. If I was hiring a DC, I might hire Tenuta. However, we are hiring a HC and for that I believe WM provides a pretty nice package. The guy is considered one of the best DCs in the country at the age of 36, add to that he fact that he can recruit and motivate and it is a pretty rare combo. I look at the guy and say what's not to like.

Forget the screaming, if it wasn't for the You Tube video people wouldn't even be talking about the screaming. This guy has proven at a very young age that he is a special coach.

YOUNG, ENERGY,GOOD RECRUITER we see where that has us with PH.

I did some research into his Miami defense. In total points, they stayed at roughly the same ranking they had the year before Muschamp. Still, it shows a very deep X's and O's knowledge to be an NFL coordinator on any team.

IIRC, his LSU and Auburn defenses have always been ranked in the top 10, which is certainly not something any coach could do. This year, Auburn finished #6 in scoring defense and #8 in total defense. LSU, with virtually the same schedule as Auburn, finished #20 in scoring defense. Those are the top 2 SEC teams in scoring defense, with Georgia at #27 and Florida at #40. I don't think you could argue Auburn has much more talent than those three teams he beat statistically.
