I have a hard time believing we will ever recruit at the level of the top schools. Has tech ever signed a 5 star? I could be wrong, but I don't think Calvin was rated as a 5 star. Clemson, bama , ugag and the other top schools have them on the bench not even getting playing time.

People like to rave about gaileys recruiting but he was just over 500. People öööö on Johnsons recruiting. He was just over 500. Tech has always been tech with some good and some bad years mixed in.

With the coaching I've seen so far, I have a hard time convincing myself that anybody can recruit good enough for us to be much better than 500.

I hope I'm wrong but it looks like if Collins does a good job, we will be gailey like again. Consistently half ass.

Keep him for a few years to get good recruits then fire him for a TO coach, rinse and repeat.

I don’t want CPJ back because ONE our fan base, especially the guys with the checkbooks, will never accept the triple to give CPJ enough resources to be successful. We all know this. And two, on top of all our recruiting handicaps, we can’t get good DBs, linemen or WRs to wanna come play for Tech under the triple. Our offense was two dimensional for the last two years and we know this too. When they know we’re on the ground every play, they dare us to pass and we can’t because we don’t have the personnel for it. We still don’t.

Let’s see how he does with the recruiting class. We need some big linemen and some fast receivers. If he recruits a top 25 class we may actually see him be successful. I’m not sold on Patenaude but let’s see. Maybe he can do something with an elite recruiting class. This is the whole reason we hired CGC. If he brings in a class ranked 40-50, then give the guy his ticket, and I guess you moneybags will have to pay him off and get us a new coach. Or we will see far worse than the result yesterday.
 
Do I think Monken would have had a better season this year than Collins will? Absolutely. Probably going forward, as well.

But Jeff Monken isn't our coach. Geoff Collins is. As you said, we're stuck with him for a few years at least so we have no choice as fans but to cheer for him. I was doing pretty well with that until we lost to a 3O FCS team. That was just too much and probably the worst thing that could have possibly happened to him and to GT right now. I'll get over it as the humiliation fades and cheer on the Jackets this season, as always.

I've got no problem with playing more than one QB if they bring different things to the table, but when one is obviously more successful than the other, it sucks.

Lol he hasn’t even signed a class of his own yet. Anyone whining about him specifically is a bitch

Wining about the teams performance is just what tech fans do tho
