Has TFG found a home?

Ahhhhh yes, Geoff praying on the downfall

Is there any evidence Geoff ruined the locker rooms at Mississippi State or Florida? Obviously he has no business running a program, but seems like he did alright at lower positions.
The aftermath at Florida still hasn’t worn off when you mention his name.

I went and browsed a forum of theirs out of morbid curiosity. From what I can tell, they’re all convinced that Tech is a dead end job and Geoff did about as well as he could here. His real experience is of course his SEC experience.

They have learned nothing (required for SEC membership apparently). This was exactly how they were about Petrino when he left Atlanta. Meanwhile the Falcons made the playoffs 4 out of the next 5 years and Petrino started banging young staffers. Maybe this is a good omen.

Good luck to him. I hope he succeeds there. He is clearly not ready for a head coaching job, and I suspect he won’t be for some time. Maybe a step back can help him get back to something good. Just don’t bring him near GT ever again.

UF's locker room collapsed under Urban. The damage might've already been maxed out by the time Geoff got there.

I suppose I would have shared that sentiment until I saw him s*** posting about tech (and even worse doing it in a passive aggressive manner, weak). f*** that guy I hope he fails at life, only a miserable insufferable person would do such a thing. I hope he took all his money and invested it in dogecoin

I hope a bowl committee with a sick sense of humor matches his next school up with us in the near future.

I missed any postings about GT from him. Not sad about that.

I haven't seen any postings from him about GT either. then again, I ain't looking real hard.
Regardless, I bear him no good tidings. I hope he does not do well. He's a lying, slimy, clown of a used car salesman - though, for some reason, you can't call him Clown on TOS. I mean, after the giant poop of a program he left behind and you can't call him Clown? WTF? - and I hope that jackass gets exposed time and time again for being a giant fraud.
Dante should have created a 10th circle of hell for Clowns like him.

I do have one (albeit impossible) hope for him to get a sweet head coaching gig, somehow, God willing, he ends up as uga head coach with a 30 year contract. Whatever type of sorcery, goat sacrifices, voodoo dolls and deals made with the devil down on the crossroads it takes it would be well worth a lost soul or two in order to make it happen.

Just seems like there's a lot of irrational butthurt around these things, as evidenced by my post being downvoted. It seems much more likely to me that Collins is an adequate assistant with some recruiting ability who simply has no business being a head coach at any level than it is that he's been destroying programs across the country as a coach his whole career and somehow no one's noticed except for Tech fans.

Probably comes down to the length of leash he is given. I think it simply boils down to the fact that he is not a good leader and should never lead men in any capacity. There is plenty of evidence of this from on the field to how he handled himself in press conferences. Perhaps you can get by with that to some extent as an assistant but that would depend largely upon who the boss is and how that program is constructed, i.e. a "worker bee coach" with great oversight and/or micro managing might be serviceable but I contend that left to his own devices at whatever level would always trend towards failure.

I guess the thing is we don't really have to guess. He's been an assistant for 20+ years. His defenses at Mississippi State and Florida were very good statistically. Even if you want to say they were good in spite of him, it's clear that he wasn't killing programs as an assistant.

No team should let him run their program--I think we can all agree on that. I get that people are sour on him for how catastrophic his tenure at Tech was, but I'm not sure what people are trying to prove with this retroactive narrative of a coach too toxic to work as an assistant anywhere when that's basically what he's done for the majority of his career.

May I ask a question, please?

Who the heck cares? TFG completely scammed GA Tech for 3.5 years and then ran off with 11M of our hard-earned clams. I hope the next thought I think about him is the last one I have to.
