BothStansbury's letter should have asked all ticket holders, players, fans, coaches and recruits to line up and said
" look to your left, look to your right...One of them will be gone next year"
Was a really good game. I was there too.Best GT game I've ever attended. No one will believe me, but I called the Gary Lee TD prior to kickoff. Great memory with my Dad as Lee runs through the South endzone fog to us in the North endzone.
It really feels like it, but honestly I think it won’t happen until after next year - which on its own is an indictment on TStan. What are the butthurt futures at? I’m ready to short.
EDIT: or buy, not really sure how butthurt futures work
You left off one of the worst OL coach in P5.Under CGC, Georgia Tech has lost:
—best player
—best recruit
—best assistant/recruiter
—a bunch of games
Still around:
—the DC that led one of the worst defenses in the country
—The head coach in charge of it all
—The AD that “has his man”
Clown show. Make it make sense.
The 1985 game was called the Hall of Fame Classic. Which we won. A month after having beaten a top-20 ranked dwags team for the second straight year.Shades of celebration for the '85 All-American Bowl and the '97 Carquest Bowl. ;)
My tickets, program, and the old sign at Bobby Dodd beg to differ. The 1985 game was called the Hall of Fame Classic.
Me too - and while I wasn't in the North Stands, I basically was because my West Upper seats were behind the end line. You could see that TD though and it was nice. Was a really good game. I was there too.

Yeah, the folks in Birmingham changed the name to "All American Bowl" sometime in 1985 before the game when they realized that the College Football Hall of Fame planned to relocate the game to Tampa going forward starting in 1986. So they turned it into the first All American Bowl, which they managed to keep in Birmingham for a few years. They printed up the tickets and program, and dressed the field, as the first All American Bowl in the weeks leading to the game. But it has been referred to both ways and you can find references both ways on-line, You can't trust Wikipedia. but it consistently refers to it as the 1985 Hall of Fame Classic. I wonder what it says on the trophy - maybe someone here knows. My tickets, program, and the old sign at Bobby Dodd beg to differ.
