well, a couple of birdies actually.....they've all told me the same thing: the charges against Tarrant have been dropped

nothing confirmed or anything, but that's what I'm hearing.

Wow, could be good news if it turns out to be true.
 
That would be so awesome. I saw him today talking to some people and he looked really happy... so... I know I wouldn't be able to be so happy if I were facing felony charges no matter how funny the conversation.
 
Hope this is true. Would be great for him, and also be a boost to the team. We're really thin at CB right now.

not a shock if you heard that. Two weeks ago the coaching staff at tech was so pissed this happened to JT with the evidence they were given, that they ALMOST decided to play him from day 1 in fall.
 
This is what I've been waiting on. The whole thing just never seemed to make a lot of since to me. Good for Tarrant, if it's true.
 
So can I get back to making fun of Jawja's continued off-the-field mishaps?

The whole world is so quick to bash a kid when he gets "charged" with something like this. If the kid is clear, it should be made known.
 
if the state chooses not prosecute the case everyone is in a tough spot and you want it to be low key

I am sure that Tarrant will be happy if this just goes away.

No matter what happens only Tarrant and the girl will know what really happened that night.

Yep, and if true the MuttButt licking ajc should put it on the front page in bold print that he was cleared......but i won't hold my breath for that!
 
I think we should have a little sympathy for the victim in this case. Whether or not she was raped, the fact remains that, at one point in time, she felt as though she was - strongly enough to approach the police department about it.

Yes, it is a good thing for Jerrard Tarrant, and for our football team, but there is another person in this.

The case could have been dropped because the DA thought she was lying, it could have been dropped because she decided against it, or it could have been dropped because of insufficient evidence. We don't know enough to make blanket statements of "this is good for all parties."

Of course, though, we don't know if it has been dropped yet or not.
